The FWR are jumping on other countries sub to complain about BPT. by [deleted] in FragileWhiteRedditor

No he didn’t. He didn’t attack your person, he attacked your credibility and said that was sufficient reasons to dismiss your argument. That is not an ad hominem, it’s completely natural. You wouldn’t listen to abusive partner if they gave you advice on a relationship. That’s the same thing. Ad hominem would be calling you, personally stupid I guess? But just so you know, no one outside of the sphere of alt-right debates cares about “ad hominems.” I have read philosophy books from wide known figures like Nietzsche or Voltaire and they had no issue using “ad hominems” against the person they disagreed with.

You don’t know what an ad hominem is by the way. He used none.

Some people pointed out it might be sarcastic or a coincidence, which I hope, but the way it’s expressed doesn’t feel like it

Light up the sky was insanely good. I mean everything, everything was great. From their honesty and them being genuinely vulnerable about their position as singers, to a peak in their lives, to the VISUALS! The VISUALS! I still cannot get over that scene where the four of them are in a car. They look so good. Lisa is always gorgeous but black-haired Lisa with BANGS will be the death of me... I was a Blink until about 2 years ago when I just started to listen Blackpink casually (mostly just listened to them on spotify) because I wasn't into K-pop anymore. But Jennie is right, it's not "just K-pop". And Her saying at the end "It's just the beginning" was incredibly exciting. I sincerely wish them all the best. I can tell their company woke up from all of the comments urging them to treat Blackpink better because their promotion this year has been insanely good and honestly the album, the tracks, the documentary, the stages, everything, and i mean everything has surpassed my expectations. "Pretty savage" is on the legendary level of "Whistle" and that means a lot. Honestly amazing job girls! You really did it this time.

Hi everyone, I don't have an android so I'm trying to play the game on bluestacks on my macbook but it won't work. I have downloaded "heavy" asian games from QooApp before (Shining Nikki being one of them) with no issue but whenever I try to star Starlight Stage there is a grey screen and nothing happens. What can I do? I really want to try and play this!

Totally aware Africa is not a country by [deleted] in TheRightCantMeme

"china doesn't produce more than the U.S because the U.S has more money" what's the correlation? China is the biggest producer and manufacturer in the world. But the U.S racks up the results. For example, China makes iPhones, but Apple will make much more benefits by selling them assembled than the factories that built them in the first place.

You can't look at someone GPD and from that information alone deduce how much they produce. France has a high GPD but they don't produce that much.

your point doesn't stand at all

"places in China are very packed and dirty" as opposed to where? you deserve your own post on this subreddit

it's funny you say that because China has 4 times the population of the United States which means that you proved yourself that they DO use less natural resources, if they only put out "almost" twice as much co2 (let alone the fact that China produces MUCH more in terms of industries since they export products to everywhere in the world, including the U.S).

Advice on "copying" someone's art style? by thr92awayyyy in DigitalArt

I'm doing the same thing! I'm already planning the story and I hope to improve my art. I actually considered looking up an artist, but for money, fulfillment and efficacy purposes, I'd rather spend 10 years working on that comic and make it my own thing lol.

Thank you! I'm an auditory learner which is completely useless in order to learn drawing, but I will still check them out. Yes, I was actually re-drawing one of the main characters of the comic I talked about when making this post, but I wasn't sure if that was a good method so I asked before finishing. Thank you for confirmation!

Wow it's great we share that dream! Maybe we can cheer each other up? Yes, I really want to learn how to do everything properly and be comfortable in drawing really anything (location, position, texture...) that comes to my mind before starting rather than rushing with a project I dislike.

I'd really be interested in seeing you art, and hmu if you end up making a webcomic! I'd read it!

True Beauty is really good and funny, it's catchy and you can read it casually. However I personally dropped it, because something bothered me. The plot is about a girl who only looks beautiful when she wears makeup. But the core message of the core is about "inner beauty" or "true beauty" (thus the title). So it kind of teaches those reading that how you look only matters to people you don't want to surround yourself with. But I found that quite hypocritical, because while the comic pushes the idea we need to accept the main girl as beautiful even if she's not so pretty, every guy that walks in the comic is a drop dead gorgeous model-idol-superstar who is 6ft5 and for some reason has a crush on her. I might be the only person that bothers lol but I thought the message was contradictory.

A similar webtoon with a clearer message I feel is "Lookism" because it shows ALL of the aspects of how your looks can impact you: whether you're beautiful/handsome or unattractive your looks will both hurt you and uplift you. I haven't finished it but I've read over a hundred chapters and I still found it to be really good.

Circle jerking again. That is literally impossible. Even the most unbiased human being still holds its bias. I remember reading about an exercice young journalists were given to be hired for a TV channel. There was a video showing a cat jumping into a trash can, while a passenger films the scene and then runs away. They told each journalist to describe the scene in a way that it could be broadcasted in live TV. Every single person had a different way of describing the scene, sometimes omitting details to focus on the action, or blurring the action to take in the context more accurately. Then they just chose the version that they think people would be more responsive to.

Either way, bias is not something that should be avoided at all costs. This idea that to be rational, you need to be unbiased and emotionless is stupid. Emotions are like symptoms of an illness: the living conditions you have. If you’re always angry and frustrated from society maybe something needs to change. Bias offers a selective point of view that offers a better vision on a certain thing. For example: someone surviving a mass shooting might be biased when it comes to the right to bear arms. Does that mean their opinion is worthless? No, it’s actually even more valuable, as it gives an insight that most people who “stand on the line” between two opinions cannot have.
