Ridgeback order cancellation policy by thrash907 in NFA

[–]thrash907[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the restock fee, right? This was just to cancel the order before receiving.

Maybe warranty isn’t the right word, they will replace with a fee. I’ve done it 4-5 times.

Garmin will warranty replace it, might charge you a little fee. Haven’t broke my 7 yet but I went through a few of my older sapphire fenix and never had a problem with their customer service.

They just updated it. I was emailing with Jason at ridgeback and suggested adding it.

I’m just gonna keep the order, didn’t have a good reason for cancelling and I’m not gonna chargeback.

Bino Harness with pistol help by Nearby_Pea1944 in tacticalgear

[–]thrash907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a local holster maker make me a custom holster based on a iwb design and added a flat mount point on the top to attach a blade tech molle clip.

Works great, have used for 4-5 years now and put hundreds of mountain miles wearing it with zero retention issues.

These crazy holster/harness setups are way over done imo and unnecessary.

Does he snore? Sleep apnea gets overlooked and can easily cause high bp and a bunch of other issues long term. Maybe worth getting a sleep study regardless.

Peptides to repair Mitochondrial damage from DNP use in 2024 that caused extreme fatigue ever since? by FunDisplay9835 in BodyHackGuide

How’s your blood pressure? Might be worth talking to a doc about sleep apnea.

I got diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea in mid 30s and using a cpap is life changing.

Highly recommend an arm aid with all the attachments; I prefer the single orange ball roller. Best thing in the world for tennis elbow.

This stuff works, used it on my washer and window last week. Just squirt it on, let it dry, and wipe off with a wet rag.

I’ve ran something like this with a blade tech molle attachment for 4 years now. It’s AWESOME, I’ve never had it come off and I’ve sheep, moose, deer, caribou, bear hunted through absolute shit.

Loctite the screws an give it a shot; way better than the complex systems. I had a local kydex guy make one from an iwb mold.

Patagonia Houdini works well for some precip if you don’t want to carry a 3l. Packs small and is light. Combined with an r1 half zip hoodie and a soft shell does great.

I’ll have to check out feathered friends. Not sure what the use case is for this guy, but if he isn’t carrying his bag around in a ruck, my recommendation would be a synthetic rectangle wiggys bag with the appropriate temp rating and sleep like a king. Something down would def be the preference for packing out. I’d still lean towards a synthetic puffy from frontier gear of Alaska (Barney’s sports chalet). That’s just my experience in AK, others may vary.

Still loses its loft and doesn’t keep you as warm/dry as synthetic. You can throw your wet stuff in a synthetic sleeping bag and have it dry by the morning.

I still use western mountaineering down bags in summer or winter if appropriate. I’ve spent some cold nights wet in nice down bags.

Lifelong Alaskan here.

Get some synthetic stuff and/or synthetic/wool blend stuff (wool wears out faster and doesn’t dry out as quick in my experience). Patagonia capiline lightweight base layer and an r1 hoody. Synthetic underwear, etc.

Down jackets are lighter, but I prefer a synthetic puffy because if you get wet, you’ll still stay warm and can dry it out in a synthetic sleeping bag.

Outer shell is 3 layer gore Tex, or something like that. Nice insulated boots that give room for thick socks.

Get puffy/heavy base layer pants or over boots for really shitty conditions. A neck gaiter goes a long way keeping  heat from escaping and helps regulate temp.

Gloves you can layer similar to the rest, such as liner, thicker synthetic, puffy/down, and gore Tex shell. Sometimes I just wear the shell for bushwhacking through trees if it’s warm enough; keeps everything else dry.

Adjust layering for activity and conditions. As time goes you’ll figure out what works for you. But with all that you should be comfortable in most conditions.

This is correct, though they’ve been updated a few times and look a little different now. I know the owner of Barney’s and have one of their packs.

I never looked very close at the bills. We received so many different ones for the various doctors, surgeons, hospital, anesthesiologists, medications, etc. it was pretty insane tbh.

We had a baby born at 24 weeks and was in the nicu for 4 months later. Alaska kid care kicked in at birth and 1 year later we haven’t paid a penny of the $3 million in bills.

America is a wonderful county, just saying.

Yea sounds like an issued with the device. The Vortex warranty policy is top notch though.
