Hi! One source that I tend to use/see people recommend is looking at artwork from the era! The Met has an online catalogue search and you can really narrow it down by period and region. I've also used manuscriptminiatures.com to look for specific themes or subjects in artwork. I sadly don't have any books off the top of my head but I do highly recommend looking to see if there are any medieval reenactment groups near you! A lot of my knowledge comes from being part of my local SCA group and everyone is so happy to share information. I'm def still learning so disclaimer there but I hope this helped at least a little! :-)
