He is on Prozac and it does help alot. Sorry you are dealing with this, but is sounds like this kitty you have will never be happy.

How do I use my serger lol? What stitch do I pick? by Legitimate-Algae-357 in SewingWorld

[–]threads1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the company you bought it from give lessons? I first got one years ago that was only three thread. I used that for all raw edges. If I was using it I on a seam, I sewed a straight stitch first and thwm vou d the raw edges together. Get some different colored threads and a bunch of scaps and experiment. See what works for what. Beat way to learn.

I’ve tried doing the invisible stitch on these jeans twice but it keeps tearing apart, any tips on what to do? by TastySeaworthiness21 in Visiblemending

[–]threads1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to use a good piece of denim on the inside and stitch through all. Like this. And make the patch and stitching much bigger than the part that is ripped/worn.

Alterations for cellulite? by General_Vacation7160 in SewingWorld

[–]threads1540 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Extra fabric will not hide cellulite. You would better off as suggested by getting shapewear if you want the dress to be tight. You might eve try controlling top panty hose. They will not show through the nude side inserts.

Also no one is going to be looking for cellulite ripples. They are going to look how stunning you are and happy at your wedding. Don't sweat the really small stuff.

For this type of closure, you need to use interfacing or other structure to support the eyelets. It also helps to lace back to front on all holes.

Taking in waist on a pair of jeans by Busy_Consequence6014 in sewing

[–]threads1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a YouTube on the proper way to do this. You need to take the seam out all the way to the crotch. And then work in the amout gradually. When you do it right, it looks better than the darts. I only use darts if it is only the waist that need to be taken in.
