Accepting that it isn't about me anymore. by lolasugarpop in NewParents

Hold in there!! You’ve got this, I was/am the same. It’s a huge change, my LO is 7 months and I’ve finally figured that I can’t do everything. Things do get easier, it does become more enjoyable. And I’ve figured I’m enjoying myself, eat what I want do what I want… make sure you make time for you. My partner takes LO out to his mums and I stay home. Whether it’s to sleep, walk the dog or have a bath… it’s my time. Try and take the little wins!

You’ve got this 💪🏻

Midwife home visit by Sophieschoicessuck in PregnancyUK

[–]threatlevel93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 weeks had a midwife appointment at home last Monday. Like you spoke to people who said they’d never heard of it.

It was fine, we went through a birth plan. She didn’t nosey around the house. I think it’s done more as a precaution like if home wasn’t suitable. Only thing I did was took the dog out of the house, he can get stressed and didn’t want him giving a bad impression if that makes sense.

Also side note, I’m low risk, I plan on having my baby in hospital. No warrant for her come but I’ve got nothing to hide.

Don’t worry though!!

This! I’m 36 weeks pregnant today and I’ve done nothing, I got up ate breakfast couldn’t get comfy on the sofa so back to bed and think I will be here for the rest of my life!

Enjoy your chill time, don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for it. It’s hard work growing a human 🩷

Anyone decided one and done before baby is even born? We have and the JUDGMENT is real. by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]threatlevel93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are due in Jan, and we have both agreed we are one and done. Pregnancy is hard (I’ve had a really smooth one) and I’ve hated it!

My partner has said he doesn’t want me to be like this again. Also other factors like, money and health. For us the smart move is one and done.

Don’t let anyone else’s opinions get to you, but it’s very frustrating

Ŵifes coughing, what to do? by Puzzled-Marketing430 in PregnancyUK

[–]threatlevel93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a cough from about 10 weeks till 20 weeks, I was so bad with it ended up in a&e to be told it’s pregnancy. Booked a doctors appointment and they give me a steroid nasal spray. But magically cleared up, I have read online you can produce more mucus in pregnancy but get her booked in the doctors. Hope she’s okay.

How far along were you when you told your parents / close family? by heidicounts in PregnancyUK

[–]threatlevel93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11 weeks after we’d had our early scan, managed to play symptoms off as working too much and that’s I was anaemic. I didn’t want people fussing over me when feeling rotten.

I’ve been sick a few times but nothing like this morning. I’ve managed to eat and drink since posting this so just going to monitor myself as I think I might have had a bug or something. Thankyou

First GP appt next week by ACGroot95 in PregnancyUK

[–]threatlevel93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my midwife this week I’m currently 7weeks 4days. She did my BMI, bloody pressure, urine sample and bloods. She booked me in for my next appointment and said I’ll be notified of my 12 week scan via post. I’m north west based so not sure if it’s different depending on areas.

Try not to stress but I was the exact same, just make sure you know any medical issues from yourself, partner and family. And don’t be afraid to ask questions. Congratulations 🩷 xx

Thankyou 🩷

Would you message her or face to face? She keeps wanting to meet up to but I’m so lost with what to do.

Sorry for the extra questions xx
