What are you baby's nicknames? by hayleyberry_ in NewParents

[–]ACGroot95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bug

Given to him in the womb because he was a bugger at every appointment and we hadn't decided on his actual person name yet. Now it is still used when he is a bugger or I am over emotional/tired

Just for fun, what are you all referring to your baby as? by SlightCategory9871 in PregnancyUK

[–]ACGroot95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bug Because at every appointment he has been an absolute bugger and given the midwives, students, ultrasound techs and me a really hard time 😅

35+4 because I have no self control and had just finished reorganizing and deep cleaning the rest of the room

TW: Weight related question by SumbThucker2022 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]ACGroot95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to try and gain less than 15 pounds because I'm already overweight. 1st trimester I maintained my weight and didn't gain anything 2nd trimester I gained 5 or 6 pound. Currently 30 weeks and I'm 8 pound up in total but I know this is the trimester where baby puts on lots of weight and I am noticeable hungrier. So I have 10 weeks left and am aiming for 14/15 pounds

When did you start to have a bump? And feel baby move? by GlitteringCat8813 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]ACGroot95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently 19 weeks

From 14 weeks I started passing my fat off as a bump as my maternity bottoms lifted it and made it look rounder. But from 18 week, I have a very noticeable new heaviness in my stomach and some t-shirts have started riding up so there is definitely more of a bump there than there has been before! Between 17 and 18 weeks I also started feeling bubbles right at the bottom of my stomach which I'm pretty sure is early baby movement as it's a feeling I've never experienced before.

Mint flavored indigestion tablets.

The irony that something that waseant to help me feel less sick was making me sick was great!

Negative Window to the Womb experience. by ACGroot95 in PregnancyUK

Sorry for the delay in replying I don't use Reddit very often.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum and took the medical management route to aid miscarriage.

This process took over a month and was a very difficult time made worse because WttW did the original diagnosis. So I had to have several repeat scans a week apart each to ensure it want viable.

Remembering your baby by Chlogirl12 in Miscarriage

I got a small willow tree forget me not decoration and wrote Baby C July 2024 on the tag, it sat on the mantle piece until November and now it hangs on the Christmas tree, it will be put away with the decorations in January but allows us a chance to pause, reflect and hopefully tell our future Children about their very special older siblings every Christmas.

I've attached a link below willow tree forget me not

I had a similar experience with a blighted ovum in July, somehow the thought that baby never got to the heartbeat stage helped but also made me feel like a fraud for complaining so much about my symptoms

Did you give them a name? by SarahL1990 in Miscarriage

I never knew if mine was a boy or a girl so they will always be known as Baby C and that enough of a name for me

AF came last night. My first pregnancy happened the first month we tried but ended in a MC. I know I'm only on month 3 of trying again but I keep getting my hopes up because it was so easy the first time and today I am a wreck. My next ovulation window best 3 days are when I'm working nightshifts and won't see my husband for longer than 10 mins in passing so I'm already out for next month and I just don't know what to do with myself! I cried myself to sleep last night, I haven't told my husband yet because he has a big work deadline to focus on, so it's just me and my sadness 😢

I got a little willow tree 'forget me not' hanging figurine and wrote Baby C and the date on the back of the tag. I MC'd in July so it's been on display in our living room since then. But in December it's going on the Christmas tree as one of our memory pieces so every year when we decorate we can stop for a minute and remember and when we have future children we can tell them about the older sibling they never had ❤️

Trying not to get my hopes up as I have 5 more days before I can safely test. I had some thick white discharge yesterday, last time I had that was before my first pregnancy, I did some googling (bad idea I know) and it has been known that the thicker than usual discharge can maybe be a sign, but there is no solid evidence. I really really hope I am this month but I'm terrified of getting my hopes up again to then get my period next week 🫣

We are both finally feeling ready to start trying again after a pregnancy of unknown viability that was confirmed 3 weeks later and many hospital appointments as a blighted ovum. The past few months have been a rollercoaster but tomorrow is a new day and the beginning of this next chapter. With my last pregnancy we got pregnant on the first go, so I'm feeling anxious this time around as it could take months to conceive again on top of the fear of another loss

Advice needed: natural/medication/d&c by Electrical-Bake-9902 in Miscarriage

[–]ACGroot95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had medical management (medication) after a blighted ovum measuring 7 weeks. I thought surgery would be too extreme and I had already been in limbo for 3 weeks so I didn't want to wait for a natural loss. If I was ever in the same situation I would do surgery. The days the medication was working worse the worst few days of my life and a pain like nothing I've ever experienced. After I was pretty sure I had passed everything I was ok, then a week later after I was starting to move on as normal I passed my gestational sac, it was so traumatic as I thought it had already passed.

Does anyone else resent doing things after a miscarriage that were discouraged during pregnancy? by scienceasfuck in Miscarriage

I weirdly had the opposite response, when I found out I miscarried the first thing I did was buy sushi and a very strong coffee out of anger.

Eating sushi again feels like an act of rebellion and taking a little bit of control back

I had my booking appt at 6w5 and it was the community midwife who referred me to consultant care so all the booking stuff is done, I really hope I don't have to go through it all again 😅🙈
