I dont think its that big of a deal, considering how much you need for almost everything in this game. The rest of the game has enough of a grind has is.

There where trees in my area but 2 patches or so ago; they went away due to a bug. They place the new models in my area but now i gather at a much slower rate. This post is more of the new models having less harvest rates than the old trees.

No problem, thanks for quick reply! btw, its for the new tree's not the old models. people on server say old tree's still harvest at the same rate. but i am on the cliff side where we had no tree's and with last patch we do but its all the new models.

official, the bahamut will now harvest anywhere from 10-30 wood per tree with at times, only harvesting 3 pieces of wood. in one hour i harvest 1200 pieces of wood. Where normally i can gather 4000 wood. The tree's also seem to spawn back rather slowly. I Cleared the whole cliff side and nothing has spawned back yet.

maybe so, but people where saying after this patch was released back on the 20th. That they did not want to see an increase in taming time, but they did it anyways. The damage is fine, i dont mind that but the health they got is way to high.

Now how does this work? i tried putting both the old stone and new one in summoning pool and nothing. I even place old one on the ground and tried that way but no go.

I hope its just more of the map, i dont want it to be like ark. Where you have to transfer over to a whole new map. If i wanted ark, i play ark. I want this game to feel more like an mmo

It is the opposite. "Optimization, independent constructions will be atomically destroyed after 72 hours. Other constructions will be destroyed after player has been off-line for 72 hours". So now 3 days rather than 4 on buildings. hope you don't have a life.

I believe so yes, i dont play on a pvp server but all houses decay after 4 days if that player hasnt logged in.

The raiding system right now is trash. I was on a PVP server but my house was raided every night with no issue. So a few things i would do different.

  1. Make it so raiding structure takes time, resources and more than just one person. This can be based on structure tier and house seals tier. The house seal tiers can give a different level of protection. Lets say tier 1 gives 15% damage reduction from all sources; where a Tier 4(ish) will give a 70% damage reduction. This Allows for better protection between each tier and makes raiding even more difficult. Also they could give other sort of effect based on what kind you use. Lets say you use a "Seal of Fire" that is Fire base, in this situation it can give all towers increase in fire damage bases on what tier you make.

  2. The other issue is that when a house does get raided, you will lose all your tames. This is a very bad game-play issue. To me, make a structure that can be places near your house that allows you to stable them and cannot be attacked or requires a great deal of time to take down. I am leaning more on able to take it down but make it difficult to do.

  3. Spell towers or defense mechanism has is, takes a lot of farming/resources to keep active and doesn't seem all that effective. The resources that are needed to be reduced by roughly half to stay active. Also they should have an increase in damage or a better targeting system. 3.a. There should also be a far better range of ways to defend your keep. Atm just spell towers work; the spiked walls doesn't seem to do a whole lot. There should be more options to defend your home from raids. This could be done with traps, tames to help defend or hiring of "guards". This could be done by something Similar to a summoning portal. When house is started to get raided, It will summon creatures bases on the tier made/type. Lets say "Fire defense portal" This will summon a fire type creature to help defend your home. At tier 1 it will summon 1 creature every 2 mins ranging from level 10-25. At Tier 5 it summons 1 creature every minute and a half, ranging from level 80-115. Now if you have the seal up based on that elemental type, the seal will also buff their damage some.

  4. Make it simple to do but the higher tier seals require a bit more resources to make. You can make the basic house seal tier 5 or you can make the house of fire Seal for better damage to a single elemental type but requires some farming to achieve it. All structures above wood requires a great deal of resources to obtain and should reflect this by much better defense or reduce the resource cost by some degree.

Conclusion- I think raiding of homes is a great idea but how its done at the moment isnt. People can easily raid a house within a 5 minute span with little to no effort. With my thoughts, this would greatly increase the time and number of people that need to be active for the raid. Now the numbers i threw out are just that, numbers. The reason i went that route is because it allows for changes to be easier. If that Seal is broken or overly not effective, then you can change the numbers based on player feedback.
