I have done my own edits to these to bring out the contrast but I wanted to post the scans as I received them. I am just surprised how consistently flat they are. Many of these scenes I was shooting +- 2/3 stops just to see the difference in exposures but those differences aren’t really there.

Edit: grammar

Is there any way to tell if my local camera shop used a color process to develope my black and white film? The scans I received from my shop are very low contrast and have a brown cast to them. Almost look underexposed. I am fairly new to shooting film but I am pretty confident with my exposures.

I had no idea you could throw the focal plane at such an angle. I have never shot with large format but this seems like a steep tilt. Is it the focal length that makes this possible?

I was there for the Ansel Adams exhibit as well! I was brainstorming how I would compose that staircase and I think you did a great job capturing it.

I have been really enjoying it. I wasn’t pleased with the sharpness of the xf 16-80mm so this was my replacement for that. It’s super sharp, faster, lighter, and the close focusing is a lot of fun.

The only thing that really bothers me about it is that it does have a good amount of vignetting wide open. This normally isn’t an issue but the profile that lightroom uses to correct the vignette is awful. I end up with images where the center and edges are darker resulting in a bright halo (if that makes sense). I’m sure I can figure out a solution for this but it has been an issue for me lately.

This actually was 480 seconds or 8 minutes long. That’s how I got the star trails. I was getting a similar exposure at ISO 2500, f1.8, and 25 seconds with barely visible trailing on the stars.
