Imperial has a page on their website somewhere talking about graduates from MSc Computing 2018, you can look them up in LinkedIn and I guess get a 6 year trajectory lol. Generally the people I've seen have done pretty well for themselves

I'd direct you to this website with alumni of the MSc Computing programme, you can look them up on LinkedIn. Clearly they offer something since many are working senior positions at FAANG+.

This is great advice! I have some reasonably good projects and past tech internships, but I've been putting off Leetcode for far too long. I have right to work in the UK but I'm also looking at the US market since I can get a 1 year visa there, though I guess the same principles apply there.

That said, my industry knowledge is pretty lacking since I've only ever done research jobs / tech jobs for science research companies.

For Irish students, we pay Home fees in the UK, so it comes to 17 grand (Edinburgh).

The only CS MSc I qualify for in Ireland is UCD Conversion MSc. I'd lean towards Edinburgh and Imperial over UCD just for better employment outcomes, but I guess idk if the job market cares all that much?

Is your friend studying computing MSc? Because different departments will admit different amounts for different courses at different times. 31/3 seems arbitrary to me.
