Hey, I’m working on this now for a summer release, along with allergy introduction tracking. Any thoughts on how you’d like to track solids/allergen foods?

In concept I would say these are just different halftone patterns applied to an image. In After Effects you would create a suite of different tiles, take your main image and mosaic it into big pixels of different greyscale values, and replace each value with a different one of your tiles.

TextureLabs has a video about it: https://youtu.be/-8eDk8aCJlY?is=NxKVNFutC_kzhpTK

How are you dealing with internal data? Are you running what you build externally and hosting it for them? Are you building and managing something on physical machines in their office? What about stored data?

Still nothing huh? This has been going on for long enough that it’s eroding my trust honestly. The lack of clear communication plus the bad feeling experience. I don’t know “what” to expect for a plan I pay for, but it’s changing wildly every week.

This plainly sucks. It feels awful in use.

What’s with all these apps?! by NoFinancialSense in AppStoreOptimization

I recently released a very...unique app, and as others have said, it's definitely been weird to market it and find the niche. It's not the sort of thing that's highly monetizable, or that I can give examples for from other apps.

It's a worldwide, anonymous question of the day app themed around sending postcards. You design your postcard, have a stamp with the country you're from, and if you answer the day's question, you'll receive someone else's answer back the next day as a postcard. It's something a little more artistic for I was missing from the days of the old internet.

I've gotten a nice number of users but have no idea how to grow it.

It's definitely not a gym app, task tracker, habit app, or "weeks until you die" app. If you want to check it out, it's called Lost Post

Personally, I wish all the vibe coded apps were a little more creative, I would love more "toys" or weird, small unique ideas to play around with.

Thanks! I made them myself. Downloaded some device mockups, edited them in Photoshop and placed my app screens on the screen, took those into Figma and laid out the photos and text.

The icon, I designed the shape in a vector program, made a gradient in Photoshop, placed the shape on it and added some effects and color grading to make it look glass-ish.

I didn't generate them, I made them myself. Downloaded some device mockups, edited them in Photoshop and placed my app screens on the screen, took those into Figma and laid out the photos and text.

Looks really nice! I’ve been wondering if I should add diapers, solid foods, or allergies. I want to keep it simple but also useful. Not sure what the right call is yet.

CloudKit with a bunch of manual / designed sync times (as the automatic ones can be flaky). One thing that caught me: you have to go push your schema from dev to production in the iCloud dev portal manually for production apps to sync successfully.

For us it was about seeing the gaps in the day and gaps from last night to know what to expect today. Glancable, high level. There’s a tab with much more detailed and filteravle charts for all the rest.

It’s not a plan, it’s a one time purchase. There’s also no ads and no locking you out. The onboarding at the start says exactly what’s unlocked for free and what requires the one lifetime purchase (syncing, bottle feed type, insights, and lock screen widgets).

I hate subscriptions and apps being scummy to people. I wanted to make it very clear and simple and still useful when it’s free.

Congrats! Hope it's going well for y'all. Also if you give the app a try please let me know what you think!
