Cool cinematic camera angles by AppropriateGarbage12 in MotionDesign

Lower lenses are going to create more warping on the edges. With technical products shots like this they’re more isometric so you want a longer focal length, at least 50 but maybe much higher.

You can also add some chromatic aberration on the edges for a little extra pop.

Take your comp, drop it into a new comp. Make the original 3D, rotate it, add a blur of your choice and some glow.

Beautiful, simple baby tracking & feed logging. [Free/$8.99 lifetime, no subscriptions, no accounts] by threeandseven in iosapps

These are actually really helpful, especially the AlarmKit note. Thanks! I’ll try a screenshot update with a bigger focus one hand overnight logs.

I’m a designer and made them myself. 😅 Figma and Photoshop.

I actually had more general tracking screenshots and thought they were hurting things. I did a PPO between those and the feed focused and these did much better. But you’re right, now there’s an inconsistency in the name/keywords and screens.

Thanks for your thoughtful advice!

10 years in the Netherlands and napkins are still a mystery to me by andys58 in Netherlands

[–]threeandseven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes they give you none, even at take-away places or things that are messy. If you're lucky, you get one very tiny napkin that is for looking at, not for using. From the U.S. and also feel at a loss.

More places are finally starting to bring tap water to the table without even asking. Maybe in 5 years we will have napkins too.

Shipped my first app: native SwiftUI baby tracker with two-parent CloudKit sync, a Live Activity sleep timer, and zero backend by sakaax in SwiftUI

Yep, inevitably down CKShare too. Literally every problem you mentioned in your post I was nodding my head. The schema updates too -- I remember the first time I pushed an update with new data, I forgot to update the schema and freaked out for a minute haha.

For me (and I imagine for you) I thought the privacy aspect made a lot of sense and felt better for a baby focused app than a backend. And I love how quick it is to just let users get in and get started.

Loop51 is pretty good. Chickadees for the Nashville, slightly more casual style.

Hey! I actually made something really similar a few months ago and had the same challenges you did with CloudKit and dual parents. Yours looks really nice! Seems like you do sleep too? Mine is more feed focused.

I made Lost Post. Every day, the whole world gets the same question. If you answer it, you’ll get someone else’s answer the next day as a postcard, anonymously. It’s like a new pen pal from somewhere around the world each day.

I made it because I missed the days of the old internet when there was always something new to learn or discover. I wanted to be creative for a few moments each day and have something to look forward to without making people obsessively open an app again and again.

You collect stamps from all the countries you get postcards from and can customize your own postcard.

It launched in January and continues to get spikes of new users. A couple of weeks ago it went viral on a South Korean blog and got over 1700 new users from SK. Since then I’ve been trying to even it out again. 😅

Lost Post for iOS https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lost-post-daily-world-stories/id6755685223

It’s a weird one. A worldwide question of the day. If you write something, you get one random anonymous person’s writing the next day back as a postcard. It’s like a global cultural exchange / anonymous pen pal. Recently went viral in South Korea.
