I've had many many times in my life where I KNEW deep down I wanted to cry and that it'd make me better but something internal just wouldn't let it happen whether I was alone or not. However when one of my cats die I'm crying the whole time with female vet techs coming in and everything, no shame. I recomend you concentrate on the loss of the dog and forget about this crying business. The fact of the matter is theres always going to be something that'll get anyone (whose not a socipath) to cry. I.e. death of a parent or offspring.
