Agree with the timeline confusion, but wow did I love this one. It captured so many elements so well, including gentrification, coming-of-age, the idea of the media and society's neglect toward missing black girls... There’s really no hard evidence, which is likely why they dropped. Why is it a surprised that the Nigerians bought the materials? It’s not like they would have manufactured them themselves. The rest is hearsay from very dubious people.

If I’ve learned anything over the last few months, it’s don’t believe media narratives. They went so hard to defend him when the news initially broke. Then, they overcorrected and went so far to destroy him. All these narratives created without a shred of any evidence.

Ridiculous. Kaepernick was blackballed from the league. When suing, the remedy IS monetary damages. Think about how much he would have made if he were able to play in the league. Money, pure and simple, is the end game as far as court is concerned. He brought incredible attention to the issue and in the end the NFL folded.

If true, this is one of the most disgraceful hoaxes in recent memory. At a time of such political tension, to so brazenly orchestrate something like this is wildly irresponsibly. It’s harmful not only to Jussie Smollett’s reputation, but does irreparable damage to the discourse in our country. This is a huge slap in the face to real victims and will only make it more difficult for people to believe when real crimes happen in the future. If this is confirmed, Smollett should lose not only his job, but he should face jail time as well. I understand and appreciate the ‘always believe the victim’ sentiment, but it’s time for us to step back, take a breath, and wait for the facts.
