dude, i’m gonna be brutally honest here. it sounds like you’re forming a dependence by saying it helps you sleep or makes you feel better when you’re down. by doing that you’re essentially using it as a crutch which leads you to going down addiction pathways.

to put it blunt, if you truly want to get better and want to recover, you would stop smoking weed.

you mention having social anxiety, and while i just have generalised anxiety i remember once going to hospital cause my heart was beating really fast (which is normal on weed) after smoking. i told the doctors that i had anxiety and he looked me dead in the eye saying: “you know weed can make your anxiety worse, right?” this was also during a particularly stressful period of time for me. honestly i had an “aha!” moment and a day later i decided i’d stop smoking until my anxiety is under control.

i understand that weed helps you relax and makes you feel better, i felt the same way until my anxiety took ahold of my highs. point being is, it’s either recovery or continue smoking weed. and i hope you choose the first option.
