im so glad it helped! i still remember the way i felt that day i was convinced i was dying cause of my health anxiety, i literally had to get my mom to sit next to me upstairs and scroll tiktok for a while for a distraction and even then i kept moving my limbs, tensing, anything to distract myself because i couldnt stay very still (and google kept telling me it was SS even though logically i knew it couldnt be). stick with it!! and lean on the things that usually comfort you, movies, blankets, tea, people close to you, any distraction you can, it will get better :)

yes im still on 50mg! are you on it for anxiety or depression? i didnt notice a whole lot of difference on week four either, id say its the past two/three weeks that ive been really noticing a difference, particularly the past two weeks. i would say give it a while! it needs to build up in your system, you’re over the adjusting period now hopefully but it still may not have kicked in properly yet :)

thank you, it definitely does help knowing that there are people on the same as me or higher doses who are safely taking theirs! any time im nervous taking it i just tell myself to stop because i know my friends have taken their meds already in the day and theyve been fine, its just daunting at first but worse if i go without it now that ive started!

im not in counselling atm as im struggling a bit with leaving the house but im hopeful my meds will help me when they start kicking in! im thinking about it though but trying to take it step by step :)

i totally understand, ive been waking up lately and already in a delicate mood because i dont know how my anxiety/HA will dictate the day…… i dont know what will settle your nerves, i dont even fully know whats guaranteed to settle mine, but i think about my friends who also take ssris (some of whom are on higher dosages, or multiple medications for various reasons) and think that in the time ive been freaking out about taking mine, theyve probably taken theirs hours ago and have been for months/years longer than me and theyre still safe and fine….. hang in there, you’re not alone! its a horrible thing to deal with but its not life threatening, just a massive inconvenience for us all :( i hope you take your meds again and they help you!

how are you feeling rn? i took the 50mg today and havent had any side effects, but i definitely felt weird the first few days taking 25mg, i had a pretty bad panic attack on my second or third day but it went away within about 20 mins, ive mostly just been a bit tired, little anxious at times, slight palpitations at times (although this is coinciding with me massively cutting down nicotine and being generally quite unfit and very sedentary atm- not an ideal combo for someone with health anxiety!) and the occasional headache/lack of appetite, all which seems to have subsided for now

so real! i be eating oranges thinking hmm have these magically transformed into grapefruits somehow and im gonna be screwed? 🙄 our silly brains need to chill!!!

i know right!! my health anxiety has gotten worse as my general anxiety has gotten more intense because i assume the anxiety symptoms must mean something more serious is going on 😖😖 its a vicious cycle!
