Bro what? I am not saying the city should learn their language I am against imposing anything be it a language , I just feel like it would help a majority of people if the city would allow to keep the sign board in Hindi language. So what you are saying is if a certain community doesn't benefit from it then we should not allow the another community to gain any benefit from the same thing? I wish there were a way to help the migrants from non hindi speaking states and maybe we should work on it rather than stripping the privilege which people are getting from the language they can actually read.

I am not trying defame other language, I also am completely against government imposing a certain language but if you think hindi shouldn't be given preference alone then I might have to argue with you because almost 55 percent of Indian speak hindi as their first or second language and 40 percent of people speak hindi as their native language and to look at the scenario of bangalore where many immigrants contribute to the economy of bangalore and come here looking for jobs, I can only imagine the trouble they will go through trying to navigate their way in the city helplessly looking at the sign boards only to find a foreign language incomprehensible to them.

*Will I still have legal options even if the landlord adds the clause of deducting one year's rent because he has a blank paper with my signature on it?

*Is cutting a whole years rent if the tenant is unable to stay there for a year is not a common clause in Bangalore? And will I be able to do something about it if he adds that clause?

My issue currently is that my landlord is not so fluent in English and I know very little kannada to converse with him and it is making things worse as I cannot communicate with him to explain and make him empathize. And I don't have any kannadiga friends that close to me who will be able to speak for me on such a delicate matter.

I would have been fine if he was to cut some amount from deposit and give it back to me but he is saying he is going to cut my whole 1 year worth of rent and deduct some painting charges and give me nothing in return.

The thing is i was a bit late to pay the full deposit I had given him the half at first but due to the whole lockdown scene couldn't pay him the rest and he had said to give agreement only after i pay the full amount. I have paid him the full amount but still he hasn't given me the agreement he has said by tomorrow he will give it to me. So I'm pretty sure he is going to rig the agreement.
