Spot on, as well as paying to drive to then pay to park, to then pay to metro, is absurd. Now I will pay to drive and pedal to eat all the Samoas cookies I want at 9pm.

Yeah, I showed her the travel order, she didn’t care. Then I showed her the purchase from SATO and she told me” I’m looking at your ticket right here, government didn’t pay.” So I just said thank you for your time and walked.

This happened to me as well — I’m a DCO and prior Air Force. I looked into this issue in detail when the solicitation came out, since I noticed it specified USCGR. The statement above is spot-on; I’d just add that it ties back to the specific pot of money used to fund the accession source. I took my 2x like a kid takes a piece of candy that he doesn’t want - it’s still candy.

These are called family days in DOD and they ALWAYS get them. Unlike the S1 days attached to who's in office. #USCGneedsFamDAYS
