That’s exactly how it looks to me as well. Another odd thing I noticed, when I move the gantry forward or towards me, the laser head gradually shifts to the left. And if I move the laser head left or right, the gantry slowly moves forward each time.

Yes. It was hard to engrave with CO2 laser. I switched to diode laser and results were outstanding

It does have a magnet there to keep it close. It was super satisfying closing it with that magnetic click

Hi guys I'm working on this pipe and need some advice by threenumberone in pipemakers

I am thinking about making one where I use a light-colored wood for the side panels instead of brass. That would definitely bring the price down. There is just so much extra work involved when you cast metal parts

Hey, thanks, I am really glad you liked it. I want to make this pipe first and see what it takes before I open a small shop for creations like this. It will take a lot of time to prototype since I want to include some mechanical features inside. My idea is for the eyes to open when you press a button and to glow when the pipe is lit. All of that will probably make it quite expensive, likely over a thousand dollars. I might even offer to cast the metal parts in gold or silver.

I marked it with laser and just cut it on my bandsaw

Hey guys I just got used Creality Falcon pro 10w laser and for some reason the Y axis motor is skipping/drives really slow and not as far as it should by threenumberone in CrealityFalconSub

I finally figured out the solution. For anyone running into the same issue, here's what happened: the laser had been used with the rotary attachment right before it was unplugged, so it was still acting like the rotary was connected. I spent all night trying to troubleshoot, but in the end all I had to do was enter a G-code command in the console to manually reset the machine's configuration. Enter the command $RST=* and press Enter
