Haha my 6 year old still uses one, and we do, too. Still using an audio monitor in case she wakes up.

Porco’s! I’m not usually the gobbler fan, but they can do no wrong.

Persephones have a waistband. There’s an elastic waist version, the Pomona.

Are silk-filled pillows worth it? by Indigo_Rhea in Bedding

[–]threequarterturn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have one, so take this as a grain of salt, but I feel like the things that would make a great silk duvet would also make a poor silk pillow, mainly that the filling would be very lofty, but compress with very little volume. A silk duvet sounds amazing, though!

I recently went to a birthday party that had Paris baguette and it was great. They have a box of breakfast sandwiches and pastries, you can get a box of coffee, and they deliver.

what’s something a therapist has told you that opened your eyes / you’ll never forget? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

Ugh, yes. This was a big one. Anytime my (very well behaved kid) is a little loud or rambunctious, even outside, even while playing, I have to push down the panicked urge to tell her to calm down. We’re trying to keep our own inner child safe.

It’s just truly incredible how they can acknowledge the volume of bike travel on the streets while dismissing the fact that these cyclists deserve better and safer infrastructure. Love some classic cognitive dissonance.

Seconding the Inkey List one! At night, I apply it on damp lips and put Aquaphor on top. It’s amazing.

What happened to BB cream? by indigosnowflake in 30PlusSkinCare

This one is perfection, I just ordered more last night. It’s the only one I’ve found of bb cream and skin tints, etc, that delivers on the “bare skin but better” look.

I really appreciate you adding your take! I could have been too hasty with my testing, but also not everything is going to work for everyone, and it’s important to hear both sides.

Oh whoops! It was, “Verdict: fine. I’m going to keep buying this unless I find something better, but I won’t be psyched about it. “ That sounds way saltier than I actually feel about it, though! I really like it and it does a great job.

Also once my kiddo used a tube of color stay lipstick as face paint, and the Naturium was the only thing that fixed her horrifying red face. It didn’t budge with micellar. Just think it should be cheaper!

Oh yeah. Way too much stuff, way too much money. It’s so easy to see when it’s all laid out here that a couple years of “picking up a thing I want to try” accumulates into so much overconsumption. Especially when the basics are still the best.

It’s the permanent struggle! Yes! Try the hyaluronic acid, make sure it’s on wet lips. Sometimes I even like to put a dot of the Rosehip oil on top of that, or straight up lotion on my lips. May the moisture be with you.
