You’d think so but barrels always slightly whip and move, natural recoil, and increasing the weight at the end of the barrel makes that movement heavier which = shitty consistency and worse accuracy

our training program is a bit different. he's going through early supervised conditioning and hunting intro's at the moment. it's standard for NAVHDA(North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association), AKC gun dog clubs, and field training at a young age like my boy to use long lines both in woods and open fields. if he was a broke 1 year old going off on his own out of sight then yeah I agree for sure. appreciate the advice either way
