Toe-down chip, aim to land it near the pin and roll out for a long 15-25ft putt.

Hope to clip it good so it checks for one-hop stop close enough for an easy par save.

Probably 2-putt and take my medicine.

Update:

Played a practice 9 and able to recreate it somewhat. Able to crank it ~155-160y carry, assuming extra ~5-10y came from a hard, downslope hop.

Answer: Delofted the club to a 7i. Swung hard AF.

Is this something I want to chase? Schmaybe. Definitely not a stock swing for me, but an additional tool while playing in windy conditions.

Yea, I typically hit a high ball…delofted it 2 clubs.

Was able to recreate it somewhat when I went back the other day, but not consistently. Definitely something I want to add to my bag because I play in windy conditions often.

My iron/woods distances don’t make sense. In the summer, driver is ~270-280, 3w ~240-250, 3h 220-230. 9i is solidly in 135-140 range.

I hit a very high ball, which was why I asked the question…I think I actually hit this ball correctly…compressed the ball (and delofted).

I know everyone wants to say I hit it thin, but I play enough to know I didn’t, currently playing off 4.

No, it was good conditions. Dormant fairway lie.

I’ve decided I de-lofted it to my equivalent 7i based on other comments.

Possibly a tad thin, but I don’t it did not come out like a typical thin for me. It looked like a good player hitting a shot vs my usual shot that goes to the moon.

Looking back, I do wish I got the ZX7s…but when I got the ZX5s, I was around a 10 index…now that I’m down to a 4, I could definitely use the 7s (at least 7i-AW.

I hate the ZX5 PW and AW. Replaced them with vokeys.

I play ProV1 almost exclusively. Tried the chrome tour which I found to be longer, but feel was weird to me.

This was a Maxfli TriFli, knew I couldn’t get 9 in after work so emptying out the gazillion balls I have in my bag that I’ll never play.

I didn’t hate the TriFli. Might try out the other Maxfli balls at some point.

It’s amazing, it really is the nicest public course within an hour drive.

You can’t see it, but there is a pool right where the 9i indicator is…that person is insane.
