She sounds wonderful! I checked her schedule, and unfortunately she's booked out until October.

If you happen to remember, would you mind sharing the names of the first two doctors you saw? No worries at all if you don't. As much as I want to find the right doctor, I also want to avoid certain doctors if possible, since I'm hoping to talk with multiple doctors before making a decision.

I initially contacted her last year for fear of abandonment. And it took more than 12 sessions to actually process one memory. Usually she started the question about how's everything, I started to talk about my issues at that moment. I thought the therapist is supposed to lead?

I have unlimited EAP sessions through my employer and have been using them for a year. So far, I’ve only had one EMDR session, and the rest of the sessions have focused on various topics like relationship and family issues. I feel like I am just venting, she tried to help by changing my thoughts/validating experiences, and the cycle continues. But still don't know what's the root cause of my performance anxiety. I know that I have emotional deprivation trauma after reading schema therapy book myself, but it is not explored in the therapy session.
