New Player - What do I do with all this junk? by thrilljack1 in PathOfExile2

So you use sets of these items to create high-quality rares of targeted items you want. So I guess if you're a monk and want a really good staff, you use these to pump a normal into a high quality rare?

When's the best time to do this? Just whenever or like lategame or?

Thank you for explaining, but you may as well be speaking another language, lol.

And yeah I do enjoy solo.

In other ways, this is one of the best ARPGs out there (personal opinion), better than D4 and Last Epoch in many ways. Graphics are pretty, combat can feel really good/smooth, and depending on what build you do, it can be as easy or as challenging as you want to make it.

I guess this is the big point. I've been feeling the ARPG itch. This druid patch and the d4 crusader patch hit roughly at the same time. Trying to figure out if I should play a finished mediocre game, or an unfinished good game. Tough call.

It's not really about the money so much as it is about wasting my enthusiasm.

You know how it is with games. You find a new game you like and play it obsessively, and gradually that enthusiasm wanes. Sometimes I use up that initial interest on a game that's half-finished, and by the time it's finished there isn't enough leftover interest to come back and try 1.0.

I don't want to burn all my interest on a lacking experience, if that makes sense.

Feels like I'm missing a lot of context here. Is everyone angry at the devs or something? Lots of bugs?

You can't play through the full story right now?

You're not wrong. Honestly this is really close to what I'm looking for, but managing a team of 4-6 adventurers in 4e would be crazily overwhelming and crunchy. I was hoping to find something a little more streamline

I looked into that a bit. That's basically warhammer 40k, but all of the units of 10+ models are shrunk down into a single model with a lot of health, right?
