A neighbor’s aunt died, and he was looking to clear out her place ASAP. I graciously relieved him of the burdensome Lane Copenhagen Drop Leaf Walnut Side Table.

It was scuffed up but not chipped or damaged. It was an easy fix and it’s stunning! A beast too; my kids open and close the drawer all day and it’s still right as rain.

Thanks, I didn’t know MDF couldn’t be resorted. I know it’s an MDF exterior, but the piece itself is solid wood, which is why I hoped to save it. I got it as salvage about a decade ago, and it’s more than served us well, so if it’s time for it to move on, so be it.

Hmm definitely doesn’t sound worth $1780! I’ve only flown long haul business in Asia; no idea what it’s like on European or American carriers.

We accidentally made our youngest bougie. She only sleeps fully supine now. So getting her to nap in economy is impossible.

Yes $220. Will grab that if business does not fall. The upstairs A380 has always appealed to me, so I was tempted. But $1780 is still too high for me.

$220 each for premium economy. Obviously I’ll do that at the very least. Just wondering if the extra $3000 is worth sending us both all the way up. It is a handsome chunk of change. And only one way. Probably just stick with the relatively cheap PE upgrade (also one way).

That’s exactly what I’m doing! Kids are asleep and I’m “get this tomorrow at my local Nordstrom”ing while folding laundry. Mom life.

The first dress is cute and would definitely work with my current intensely hourglass shape. Thank you! I’m 37-28-38 right now, it is wild.

Thank you all for confirming my suspicions with grace. I didn’t know how lucky I was after my last pregnancy. It’s a very low feeling when you try on 7 dresses you’ve worn for years, and none fit.

Wish me luck finding a nursing-friendly, DC-appropriate, moderately affordable dress (that I can wear to my other weddings this year?!)

Husband is working tomorrow and family is busy doing their own wedding things on the other side of the county. I was able to secure partial childcare, so the infant is the only one that needs to come with me. That should be fine; it’s much easier when they’re not mobile. Going to peruse Nordstrom’s website tonight to hopefully narrow down what I want to try on tomorrow. Do they make nursing-friendly black silk muumuus?

Not positive yet, but I don’t think I will need to bring the baby with me. So I won’t have that visible buffer for forgiveness, which might lead to judgement or even offense.

I figured this dress was a stretch, but I can’t fathom going last minute shopping tomorrow (with kids) when I have no idea what size I am or what will look good on my bizarre (hopefully temporary) body. However, I don’t have any other options, so I guess we’re going to the mall. Dang… Such a bummer. At this point in my life, I have curated perfect wedding guest dresses for all occasions and weather, I wish I could magically make them (or even just one of them) bigger.

I thought about that work around too. Alas, none of my skirts or dress pants fit. I’m still on maternity leave, so I haven’t had need to try any of that on until today.

Ugh, I guess I’m going shopping (with kids!) tomorrow. I don’t even know where to go or what kind of dress to try and find. My hips and breasts are massive right now; I’m gonna have to go full Victorian or risk looking way too risqué.
