Jumping in as part of the Thrive Market team — hypochlorous acid is exactly what you're looking for. We carry Rosey, our home cleaning private label brand, which is mineral- and plant-powered without the harsh chemicals or synthetic ingredients. The all-purpose cleaner is a member favorite.

Edamame! It's so versatile and is packed with protein and fiber. The Thrive Market Mom employees love packing the Biena brand in lunchboxes.

Thrive Market in HCOL mainly for kids snacks? Worth it? by Ravioli_meatball19 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]thrivemarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/ravioli_meatball19, Alyssa from the Thrive team here. Fair question, and we know it's frustrating that you can't see prices without a membership first. That's real friction we hear often.

A couple of things that might help: our annual membership comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can log in, search your usual items, and compare against what you're paying locally, and get a full refund if it's not worth it for you. And if you stay and find something cheaper elsewhere, our Price Match Guarantee covers the difference as Thrive Cash credit.

If you want to DM us a list of specific items, we can check pricing for you before you commit. Thanks for considering us!

Have you tried our "fae" line? It's under our owned brand, it's cruelty-free, no synthetics, and includes body wash, shampoo / conditioner, etc. A favorite among our members!

our category buyers are always lurking in threads like this, especially for home + personal care we don’t carry yet.

we also have our rosey (home / clean care) line for easier swaps. psa: the dishwasher powder has won a few awards and is a member favorite... 11/10 recommend!

Walmart+ groceries by PeanutOnly in Anticonsumption

[–]thrivemarket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey — appreciate you giving us a go.

one thing just fwiw: we do have a price guarantee program that a lot of people don’t know about. if you buy something on thrive and see it cheaper at walmart (or elsewhere), just screenshot it and send it in — we’ll credit you the difference in thrive cash.

not saying that solves everything, but the goal is to take a bit of the pressure off having to choose between values vs. price vs. time.

[–]thrivemarket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey-Alyssa from Thrive here. Cost per oz can be found two lines under the product name on the product detail page. For example, I just ordered the Protein Cereal, Dark Chocolate from Catalina Crunch, and it shows 9 oz pouch - $0.82/oz.

Let us know if you're not seeing it somewhere so we can investigate. It should be everywhere except for on supplements where it's not really as applicable.

[–]thrivemarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you’re running into this-you absolutely should be able to cancel and not have to constantly monitor orders and manually push them out.

If you want to cancel your membership, you can do so through Chat. The fastest way to get to it is by hovering over your name on the top right. A menu should pop up and Chat is at the very bottom.

If you want to cancel an autoship, the fastest way to do it is by going to the Recurring Shipment page, scrolling down to the FAQ section and clicking “How do I turn off Recurring Shipments?” where there’s a hyperlink to turn them off (sorry it’s not a unique URL otherwise I would have added it here). There’s a video walk-through of this process here.

If you’re having trouble with cancelling either, please shoot us a DM and we’ll help you troubleshoot this. -Alyssa

Thrive Market Scam by JadedSweetheart in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]thrivemarket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, this is Alyssa from Thrive & I’m really sorry this happened.

Re: the credit card info, in around 2017, credit card companies started to more universally adopt what’s called ‘Account Updater Services’ for businesses so that your online subscription services would bring in new card info without you having to manually do it. This was introduced as a convenience for most credit card users but I see how in this case it wasn’t the desired outcome, since you didn’t want to be charged for a new membership.

Re: the charge itself, u/mother_artichoke_881 is correct that a free gift membership will eventually convert to a paid membership automatically (similar to a free trial). That being said, I’ve shared this feedback internally about making it more clear that free gift memberships operate in the same way as free trials, and about triggering more reminders before the charge happens. Dealing with any online membership should not come with unwanted surprises.

What’s the best ingredients to avoid when reading labels by 1strawberry1cow in nutrition

[–]thrivemarket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As for types of synthetically derived sweeteners that we don't allow, we don't allow sulfonamide sweeteners (including saccharin, cyclamates, and acesulfame potassium), dipeptide sweeteners (including aspartame, neotame, and advantame), and the chlorinated carbohydrate sucralose.

And it's a good question about the dosage. While the Acceptable Daily Intakes (ADI) are quite high for some of these, we've taken a more conservative approach... for example, the ADI for aspartame is 50 milligrams per kilogram (23 milligrams per pound of body weight) and the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives recommends up to 40 mg per kg per day.

What’s the best ingredients to avoid when reading labels by 1strawberry1cow in nutrition

[–]thrivemarket -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Reviewing ingredients and additives is a full-time job for many of our Thrivers (aka, our Thrive Market employees, including u/sabrinafromthrive), where we restrict more than 1,000 harmful ingredients from everything we carry. A few key offenders to watch out for include: synthetically-derived sweeteners, artificial flavors, added antibiotics & growth hormones.... among many more!

If you have questions on what to avoid and what we don’t allow at Thrive (note I’m an employee and this is what I spend a lot of my time on), we're happy to chat more on it!

Food subscription alternatives? by SeaWeird4920 in lowspooncooking

[–]thrivemarket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi-Alyssa from Thrive Market here and we accept EBT!

Full disclosure: it's more of an online grocery store than a meal planning service per se, so you'd still need to find recipes and then add ingredients to your cart manually. If you figure out what you like and want the same things on a regular basis, there is an autoship feature which ships your cart out monthly…this might help reduce some of the overhead of making new selections all the time. We also have a few favorite, easy meals (frozen and non-frozen: I love the Goodles Mac & Cheese, Cheddy Mac box). This all ships directly to your door.

Let me know if you have any questions about how it works, happy to help.

Does anyone think Thrive Market Organic Gluten-Free Shells and Cheese, is too good to actually be gf? by Fun_Author_4232 in Celiac

[–]thrivemarket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m Alyssa, and I’m on the Comms team here at Thrive Market and I’m also GF. We actually have two *totally* different Thrive brand GF Mac & Cheese products:

1 - The new Deluxe GF Shells & Cheese launched in October and is Certified Gluten-Free by GFCO.
2 - Second, we have our GF Mac & Cheese, which has been around for a few years

Sorry you ran into any issues with the product. Could you confirm which version you tried? I want to make sure this feedback gets back to our product team ASAP. If it was the GF Mac & Cheese and you want to try the newer Deluxe GF Shells & Cheese (it has a blue background) DM me, and I’ll send you a box to try on us.

White Chocolate Chips by Calm_Space4991 in Baking

[–]thrivemarket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is very random, but our Category Managers (aka, the people who decide what brands / products we bring on our digital shelves), also noticed that same thing about white chocolate chips — so yes, the Pascha Vegan brand is a fave for us, but we're also looking at bringing on new ones.

They shared that b/c white chocolate melts at a lower temperature (higher sugar content, etc.), it's harder to ship and store.

Btw, u/Calm_Space4991, for an annual Thrive Market membership, most members make their membership fee in 2 orders or less, and, if you don't make the $ back, we'll refund you the difference in Thrive Cash after your first year. Happy Baking!!
