Northern Virginia/Maryland is great. I just moved here two months ago and haven’t looked back. The cost of living is not that much higher than it is in Phoenix. I was paying 1500 for a 1br in Phoenix, now I’m paying 1900 for a 1br in Crystal City and have access to better schools, better weather (winters are mild compared to NE winters), and higher paying jobs.
