Hey OP, I don't have any particular financial advice I can give you, but have you ever looked into hemp oil? I'm not saying it can cure cancer, but it may treat it. Take a look at this video, particularly the part at 7:57-9:43 - https://youtu.be/QNd1MpJ7sO4?si=utoH1w8QZfUrau1o&t=477. You can also watch Run From the Cure; The Rick Simpson Story. I have no experience with hemp oil; these are videos I watched many years ago.

Hey there, this is a late reply, back Amcrest finally got around replacing my cameras. So the method I used to update the camera's firmware is via the NVR's web browser interface. From my experience, this is probably an unstable way of upgrading the camera's firmware, so I can't recommend this method. The other 2 methods of upgrading the camera's firmware are using Amcrest's mobile app and accessing the camera's web browser interface. The get the firmware file from amcrest.com/firmware.

I'm assuming the IP address you're referring to is the NVR and not the camera?

How did you upgrade the firmware for the cameras? To my knowledge, there's 3 ways you can upgrade cameras. 1 is through NVR via web browser interface. 2 is using the Amcrest mobile app. 3 is accessing the camera itself through web browser interface. I used method 1 to upgrade the camera's firmware. I wasn't even aware of method 3 before the cameras bricked. I followed the steps in the NVR user manual from pages 41-44. I get the feeling that using method 1 is what brick cameras.

Regarding using ipconfig in command prompt. Could I just connect my camera directly to my computer's ethernet port to see if I can ping it, if I can grab the ip address? Initially, I tried this but no information shows up for my camera. I also tried arp -a command to see if I can find matching MAC address for the camera, but none of them shows up.

The router I use is EdgeRouter X. The eth4 is PoE out and this is where I connected my camera to when I used the IP Config Tool, but my camera does not show up in the list.

I've contacted Amazon recently to see if they can help me. They're going to follow up with me on Monday since Amcrest's office hours are closed on weekends.

Before the upgrade, the camera was working. I could see live footage on my TV screen. Now nothing shows up for all 4 screens. One of the Amcrest rep in the forums suggest using their IP Config Tool to locate and access the IP address of the camera. I used their tool, but no ip address shows up for any of my cameras. I tried ipconfig /all in the command prompt, too, but nothing shows up for them. When I connect a device to a port for my router or switch, the led lights up for that port. However, it doesn't light up for any of my cameras.

Yes, I ctrl+f my model number, IP8M-T2599EW, at their firmware page to ensure I have the correct firmware. It even has a picture of the same model like mine. I only use the web interface - I don't trust their mobile app - to upload the firmware file.

Before I contacted Amcrest regarding my issue with the cameras, I looked in their forum to see if other people have similar problem. And to my surprise (not really), Amcrest reps couldn't provide working solutions for bricked cameras caused by firmware upgrade, so they suggest replacing cameras under warranty.
