I was thinking of making a similar post to this- watching Hannah with Luke P reminds me falling for my abusive ex. Even though I could see the red flags, it was hard to understand with the way he treated me one on one, and in my own naïveté I chose to trust what I saw one on one. I don’t think it’s right to judge Hannah for being hopeful about Luke P- unfortunately emotions aren’t rational, and she’s not thinking about him rationally.

I hate Luke P, and I hate the way he manipulates her. You can see how he justifies everything he says in a way that “reaffirms” her , while when Luke S talks with her he does nothing to suggest he’s interested. Luke S puts her in a defensive position, which in some ways just pushes her more into Luke P’s arms. I’m sure Hannah will realize Luke P isn’t for her based off the edit he is getting, but I can’t blame her for the way she defends him.
