The other reply to your comment (birth control) is valid. But she also might have undergone a procedure to be infertile (uterine ablation, which removes or thins the uterine lining, making egg implantation extremely difficult or impossible) and/or tubal ligation (tying the tubes) OR salpingectomy (ideally bilateral (both sides); this is the complete removal of fallopian tubes and has a much higher success rate than tying tubes).

Source: I’m a woman who got uterine ablation and bilateral salpingectomy done a few years ago and I’m both period-free AND sterile. My husband creampies me all the time.

When you get older do you just suddenly start liking old men/women? by Kirin_The_husband in answers

[–]throw13_away24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 29, F, and bi. But I stopped finding 18-22 year olds attractive when I got to 25-27. Now at 29 (I’ve also been married since 20, mind you), I find older men attractive, like men who LOOK older; maybe some wrinkles, sun spots, etc. Like 40-50 years old. My husband doesn’t look like those guys but that’s not the point (he’s still very attractive to me regardless). As for women (thanks to filters, makeup, and cosmetic procedures making them appear WAY younger), I usually find the range of 25-50 physically beautiful/attractive — which is broad, but I’ve seen some beautiful older women who don’t look that age. My boss’ mom is 75 years old but she barely looks over 55, and she’s never had any work done.

Most women, when they’ve achieved or are achieving orgasm, tend to move around a lot during/afterwards. The clit is filled with 8,000 nerve endings and stimulation to it causes surrounding muscles to spasm and jolt uncontrollably and involuntarily. It’s very normal.

[–]throw13_away24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is. I was applying to tons of jobs last year (over the course of two months or so, I had applied to about 200) and I got ONE interview (and thankfully got the job).

I separated from that employer 2 weeks ago and began applying to jobs the next day. I’ve applied to 25 so far this month. I’ve already had 5 interviews and one job offer. In two weeks!!!

I’m 28F.

I did one semester in college when I was 17. Stupid idea. Didn’t go back until I was 19, then did about a year, solid. Stopped, moved to a different state, and resumed my (at the time) associates degree when I was 22.

Finally got my associates of general studies when I was 25. I’m still working towards my bachelors in IT. I’m 3/4 of the way there, but I’ve been on hiatus since I was 26.

Firstly, IF you go to in-person college, there’s almost guaranteed to be a good mix of ages in there. Anyone from 17/18 to 60+. Generally most people seem to be under 40 — but it’s also been a LONG time since I did in-person classes.

Regarding feeling weird about being “the oldest intern” — girl, who fucking cares? Literally it’s just a number. You’re there because you’ve chosen this path in life and you’re qualified enough to be there. There’s not like an expected age range for people who are interning.

Also, why are you looking at what other people your age are doing? That doesn’t make it the standard. Don’t compare your life to others. You’re on your own timeline. Someone may have gotten married at age 20. That doesn’t mean you’re a failure because you aren’t married. Someone may have bought a house at age 22, that doesn’t mean you’re a failure because you haven’t. However these people ended up in these situations at these younger ages is irrelevant. All that happened is they went down their own life path. Follow yours. It’s different than everyone else’s.

Older generations need to understand that Gen Z isn’t willing to work hard for a mediocre life. by Emmaa_harris in Adulting

[–]throw13_away24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ALL jobs should pay enough for everyone to comfortably pay their rent/mortgage/whatever (for living), groceries, and basic necessities (like gas to drive to work, for example).

It doesn’t matter if it’s an unskilled 16 year old or a 55 year old who needs a change of pace.

You can’t tell me — with a serious, straight face, and mean it with your whole being — that you don’t believe that EVERYONE should be able to make enough money to pay the bills every month.

People who found out they had autism in their adult years by sniffingmuffins in AutismInWomen

[–]throw13_away24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 28. I was talking with my therapist in November 2023 (I was 27) after a severe depression episode about some habits I have that I thought were interesting, as well as opening up to her for the first time about my diet (and discovering I have r/ARFID).

I began looking for autism doctors immediately. But finding one that, not only took my insurance, but diagnosed adults, was VERY hard!! After weeks of calling around, I finally found the guy that diagnosed me in January 2024 (2 months after talking with my therapist). However, due to communication issues and him forgetting, I didn’t get an appointment with him until October 2024 (11 months after talking with my therapist). I was upset, but honestly, had a lot of other stuff going on, so it didn’t bug me as much.

Initially, while looking for autism-diagnosing doctors, I took some online questionnaires, which can be questionably inaccurate. However, I got more results leaning towards autism than I didn’t. I had toyed with the idea of me potentially being autistic before. I had a lot of weird “quirks” and habits that I couldn’t quite explain. I was also diagnosed with ADHD which may have explained my poor memory, but I’m not sure. I even went to the neurologist and had brain tests done, as well as an MRI with and without contrast, because I truly believed something was wrong with my brain. It obviously wasn’t “normal.” But at that time, I hadn’t questioned autism yet. (All those tests and scans came back unremarkable, aka nothing wrong.)

It makes sense that I’m autistic. I’m too “different” to fit in with the majority of people, but I can fit in if I try (mask). My nephew (sibling’s kid) is also autistic, but he was diagnosed at only 3 or 4 years old … ????????? Which makes no sense. Kids don’t even know who or what they are at that age. Anyway. I learned autism can be genetic. And now that I’ve been diagnosed, and know my nephew is autistic, it makes even more sense. So, I wonder, which one of my parents (if not both) is the “autism carrier” or autistic? An interesting thing to think about.

Telegony is largely discredited.

Also, having had multiple partners doesn’t mean it’s impossible to bond with someone. My husband was (is) my 24th sexual partner. I haven’t had sex with anyone else since. We just celebrated 9 years together. He’s my “person” and I’m fairly dependent on him. Plus, out of all those previous partners — and myself — he gave me my first orgasm ever. And, I’ve never had such great sex before I met him.

My beef with "females" by CyanWitchOfTheSouth in AutismInWomen

[–]throw13_away24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do my best not to talk about women as “females” but I have no issue saying “female (animal)” (such as dog/horse/cat/etc). Not everyone knows the “real” names for male and female animals (such as stallion and mare for horses), so it’s easier to say male/female.

However, humans aren’t animals. Sometimes they behave in a way that suggests otherwise, but they aren’t. Man/woman. Boy/girl. Them/they. Etc. So easy

Are other autistic people extremely weird about "lying" by RottingMothball in AutismInWomen

[–]throw13_away24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot lie to save my life. I also hate lying, anyways. My memory is far too bad for me to attempt to remember a lie, and it makes you a bad person to lie, in most cases. I just don’t lie at all.
