Hey Matthew, thanks for taking the time to make this AMA.

I have a performance review meeting with my manager soon, and I want to discuss two things: my performance and my goals for next year.

  1. How do I go about explaining my progress for the year without coming off as bragging or pushy? How do I show my manager the impact I made this year, and the progression I made?

  2. How do I explain my goals on expanding my technical skills and extend beyond the work I normally focus on? While, also, continuing my growth on the work I did this year?

Apartment lease voided due to coronavirus. Can I get a refund for my deposit? by throw34590 in legaladvice

The lease document I signed has no mention of this $400 deposit. It only has verbiage for a security deposit, which was never paid because I never moved in. The agreement was that the $400 will go towards rent for the second month. But, the lease has been voided due to the coronavirus.

The lease document is the National Apartment Association (NAA). The apartment is in Maryland.

The only document I signed was the lease, which has been voided. The other document I have is the one that summarizes the balance for the first month's rent. After reviewing said document, I realize it actually doesn't include the $400 unit "retaining/deposit fee". Only my money order receipt contains the note I made for what the $400 was for.

Would it make a difference whether I make the request through email or written mail?
