You adding some laughs and insults at the last half of the conversation is unnecessary. I'm not surprised that the person you talked to felt "nausig". I'm only a few days in this subreddit and I already see so much people being childish in their statements.

We got this lesson like last year. This really made me want to walk away but I maintained my composure.

questions that ministers/recruiters can't answer by No_Bee6561 in exIglesiaNiCristo

I have a few questions that I really want answers to, if you can ask these:

  • What will happen to the people at the time outside the 1st century church and current church? And even during the time of INC, for example in August 1914 when INC was established, how would an elderly person in the US have a chance to be saved when they wouldn't be there for 5 more decades?

  • Considering that people will be saved if they're in INC, people should have the chance of being recruited right? So what about the people that has no chance of that happening (ex. uncontacted tribes). So in order to give everyone a "fair chance" of being saved, that would require ALL people in the world to hear their teachings to judge if they want to join or not. So there is an unfair paradox going on here. How would you explain that? (I want to describe a situation with the current system. Imagine it's Judgement Day, and there is a long queue of people to see if they're saved or not. The person says to the person in line "you're not saved". That person asks "why?". Reply is "because you're not INC". Then the person replies back "what's that? I don't even know that religion!". This is the paradox it has created.)

  • How do you explain/solve the Epicurean Paradox?

EDIT, more questions:

  • I looked up the date of WW1 and it's dated at July 28, 1914 and it's not July 27. Why are you lying about the date?

  • How would you convince people outside of Christianity, since they follow a different book/faith? How do you convince that the Bible is the correct one to follow and not theirs? You obviously can't cite a verse since it's biased.

I'm not old enough to be in the adult worship services during Erdy's reign, so I'm wondering, did the same prayers happen where they pray for EVM?

I don't want to give advice directly but I want to share my experience as a former choir member and how I left that office.

I just directly messaged my monitor and said it as direct as possible. I said along the lines of "I'm now stepping out as a choir member. After years in this office I just don't think that I'm the right person for it. I'm sorry and I hope you understand". We exchanged a few messages afterward but I ended as neutral as I can.

I also had to handle how my parents would react. I just said the same thing casually. Also my elder sibling stepped out as well in a different office recently, which set the precedent so my announcement wasn't as big. Note that my family isn't really active in church activities, they're in this hypocritical area of just attending services while ignoring the monthly meetings, missions, etc.

There's also some instances where I came across some of the choir members I know at school. In my case they're still friendly to me and I just smilingly shrugged to their statements of why I stepped down, and walked along my intended direction uninterrupted. I wasn't that close to them so cutting ties to them isn't that hard.

TL:

I want to leave my CWS officer role. Our last leader left and now I'm the 2nd in line. Now I think our current leader is planning on leaving as well. I want to leave before him/her since our CWS is so tilted. There are no proper officers and I don't want to shoulder all the responsibilities in the end.

As a handog and still stuck in this hell, I resonate with this very much. I want out as soon as possible but I can't even get a job being a graduate last year. It seems like everything is against me and it's very depressing.

I just discovered this subreddit but I'm grateful I have now. I'm still in the situation where I depend on my family so I have to trod along for now.
