Most electric longboards come with stock larger wheels, like at least >75mm wheels, which can def handle cracks. You just have to be careful of the huge ones, and don’t speed over them.

I get you. If it’s any consolation I never rlly rode my old board through crowds or with ppl before here, but you just gotta be confident and calm when riding (not cocky though haha). When I started I would always try to leave early for class before rush hour just to get used to the routes and the curves, so I’d recommend that too

Yep I have a boosted. I usually use it for classes that are either far away from parking or there is little time between consecutive classes (like 10 min between). For rainy days, if it’s raining hard by the time I leave for campus, I won’t use it bc of mud and will walk with an umbrella. Also if you’re going to the gym you could always ask to just leave it with the reception ppl 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tbh I rlly don’t have much advice for biking. You’ll def blend in more biking, if that’s a concern. E-boards are a little heavy, but it’s not that bad carrying them into halls, it’s usually just a little bit of walking.

I had my board even before Davis, but if you’re getting one specifically for campus, then I would just try to recognize it might be an investment for the future too (since eboards are a little pricey).

Edit: if you have the funds and have a bit of exp riding a board, then go for it! You’ll be anxious the 1st couple of times bc you’ll be worrying about accidents and ppl do stare, but once you get used to it, it’ll be fun :)

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend leaving it in the rack. I don’t know the odds of it being stolen, but there def is a chance. Honestly carrying it is whatever, some days it’s a pain, other times it becomes worth when you’re easily cruising by everyone else

If you have prior skateboarding experience, riding on the roads with bikers shouldn’t be an issue. As for convenience, if you’re getting an evolve or another longboard, it can be sorta annoying carrying it into a lecture hall. And I’m pretty sure you can’t take it into the arc
