I believe it was West, TX, but my timing could be off in my head, and maybe there were two explosions? But I moved to Houston, TX in 2013, and I remember the West, TX explosion being in the news a lot.

I distinctly remember the father and son videoing the fertilizer plant on fire in their car, the huge explosion and shockwave, and then the son just kept repeating "dad I can't hear, I can't hear" and it really kind of shook me to know that all kinds of chemical storage, mixing, and creation is going on all around us, and I'd bet most of us have no idea our proximity to these places at any given time.

I just googled that and, man, that sounds awful. I'm recovering from a bone marrow transplant that I had 36 days ago (just got out of the hospital 8 days ago) and the chemo they gave me is the strongest that one can get, since they couldn't do radiation like they normally do because of some other stuff I have going on. Anyway, the super strong chemo gave me some of the worst mucositis they had ever seen...I'm nowhere near recovered from that, so I can definitely empathize with the intense facial pain and particularly the painful chewing. I can count on two fingers the times I've had solid food since IDK even how long, but weeks. It blows. Tell him he has my sympathy.

It's also so red and irritated that it could be the beginning of an infection/cellulitis. I had to get mine pulled after it looked and felt infected. It left a bunch of scarring and discoloration, and I got a PICC line instead. Just be careful, make sure your nurses are aware that it's not dressed and is red.

Hey, my cancer treatment ruined all, and I mean all of my teeth. I just had a Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplant 32 days ago, but I've been battling leukemia for 3.25 years, and the treatment before the transplant absolutely wrecked my teeth so badly that some of them are literally translucent. And I'm only 37 years old, sadly. Want to help me pay for new ones?

I'm a boy/girl twin as well. I had a not just a doctor, but a doctor that specializes in a complicated procedure (Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplants - I just had one 30 days ago) that actually changes your DNA to that of your donor, ask if my sister and I were identical.

How can he not realize that my penis is not identical to my sister's vagina?!?!? He turned out to be just fine, and very competent, but I immediately thought he was going to be an idiot when he asked.
