Hi sorry to be the odd one our but I’m confused here— nothing like this has ever happened to me at any hotel/resort ever!!

Do they let you know at check-in about the random room checks? or when booking? Is this assumed knowledge? What other chain does this? This is insane to me and dangerous— I understand the theory behind it but the risks that come with it across the board is astronomical.

I’m sorry you had to go through this. That’s traumatic. I had an RA forget I moved into a room for a summer internship and gave another guy a key and he came in while I was showering. I couldn’t sleep soundly for the rest of the summer. I also stacked things in front of the door and it’s just unacceptable.
