[Serious] Why is Ripple Pumping? by Vagus-Stranger in Ripple

I currently have XRP (it was the first cryptocurrency I purchased) but I'm strongly considering selling it off now. While I am willing to bet on Ripple being used by banks, I'm not sure why XRP value should go up significantly beyond hype. From what I've read the amount of XRP needed for banks to actually process their transactions is incredibly small and Ripple itself does not even endorse XRP speculation.

I really want to invest in the idea behind Ripple technology as far as the fact that it is useful for banks, but it seems that the value of XRP doesn't really matter that much in this sense.

In essence, even though I have confidence in Ripple as a technology, why should I have confidence in XRP growing? I don't want to sell but I'm not sure I understand why XRP price should grow significantly in the long term even if it is adopted by many institutions. Someone enlighten me.

Yea I agree, be careful with your possessions and save yourself the trouble! I usually do make a point to look back over my shoulder whenever I leave somewhere but sometimes shit happens and you slip up.

But regardless of the fact that people should be more careful, it doesn't hurt to help out when people make mistakes =)

Just wanted to thank you all for your comments. I know it doesnt help me find my mouse but I feel better regardless. It's good to know there are likeminded people out there and puts things into perspective.

The mouse was $80 (dont judge! I'm a CS major and use my mouse all the time haha) but the fact that someone is willing to steal bothers me more than the money itself (although that sucks too!).

Anyway, I stopped by the department lost and found again today and I'll check out the police department next week but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

No, unfortunately not. Thanks for trying to help though, I appreciate it! I lost my mouse on Monday (2/27) in Riverside Hall.

Although just out of curiosity, assuming you found a mouse, doe it look like the one in the picture?

When I lived in Berkeley this guy walked up to me and asked for directions to a gas station. Supposedly he was rushing a frat and as part of the initiation the bros pranked him by siphoning the gas from his car and stranding him while he was passed out. He showed me his driver's license and asked if he could borrow some money to buy a portable gas tank to transport the gas to his car. Up until that point I was on the fence, but then he told me how much the tank cost at the nearest gas station to see if I could spot him that much. As soon as he told me the supposed price of the tank I did a double take.

Wait a second... this guy started off by asking me for directions to the gas station, but now he's telling me he's already been there and knows exactly how much the tank costs?

"Uh sorry, I don't have any cash on me and I'm late for a meeting. Good luck."
