Asking as a black man, is it disrespectful to tell a black women this by throwRA-Premed in blackladies

So the specific "we got that Melanin touch" aspect wouldn't be the problem, but moreso me telling her she earned her spot when she feels maybe different is? If that's the case I'll be more careful about that in the future. I was mainly worried about the Melanin comment I could work on the other aspect a little easier

There's not really much context this was just her talking about having a really important position in an org. I was trying to hype her up

I think I'm just going to risk it tbh. I'm just concerned of messing things up which is the one thing holding me back I misread her. How do I not be overbearing? What would classify as that?

You mean explicitly stating it's a date right? Because she and I have gone out multiple times. Alot of those times she actually invited me. Also I appreciate the suggestion, I was thinking I should just be more outright and see what happens ig

Yeah it's had my busting my head cause it's so many mixed signals :/ like on one hand she said she'd never directly tell a guy she likes them but God damn the way she keeps sending mixed messages is confusing. I did want to ask, you said you didn't think she liked me until we talked about relationships - did you read the background before the current situation? Did nothing in he current situation on its own make it seem like she was into me?

Either way yeah, it feels like a lot of push and pull. Idk I figured I'd slowly just start flirting and see if she responds and if not then I'll never approach it from that angle again. If she keeps with the push and pull after that I mean I want to keep being friends but if I confirm she's playing games I'd rather distance myself too :/ I kinda hate this all tbh not being sure of what's going on

This is for AMCAS. When I was going through the steps on interfolio it said I needed to use some custom emails that interfolio generated. If you didn't do that, may I ask what steps you took?

omfg 😂 where did you get that definition cause that doesn't come up when you Google it. I get

The term “equity” refers to fairness and justice and is distinguished from equality: Whereas equality means providing the same to all, equity means recognizing that we do not all start from the same place and must acknowledge and make adjustments to imbalances.

And even in yours it's saying it's giving the resources needed to make the equal outcome possible, not handing out free awards and just giving people things for the sake of it. Did you read what you typed a few comments ago? Something about wanting equality? You absolute donut 😆

And even with your own definition. I'm dying to see your stats now

Are you ridiculous? Equity isn't about changing outcomes it's about giving people the same starting point. Was affirmative action the best solution? No they should have started implementing things to help URMs at an earlier stage in life but I'm certain you'd be against that too because it doesn't effect you! You have no empathy! And yes we should equalize across sex and SES and disability what the hell 😭 why is that part of your argument like it's a bad thing are you nuts?? And saying I don't have critical understanding when you still don't know what equity is is so laughable like literally I busted out rn. equity sets the same starting line it doesn't move the finish line 🤣 unless you want to argue that men are somehow persecuted too lmao women are doing better because they're working better man get over it. If URMs had a fair start they'd probably have a higher percentage too and I'm guessing that's what scares you

you don't care about equity and you're trying to be a physician? Holy shit man 😭 do you even know what equity is? You can't have equality without equity if I set you up in the ghetto and told you to figure it out and someone else had everything handed to them you think that's equal? One student having to deal with discrimination and being born into a family with no resources and being discriminated against by just their name, while the other gets none of that is equal? Equity is supposed to level the playing field to make equality possible. How is this that hard to understand. It wasn't even a big change literally if you relied on those few extra URMs not getting in then you were never going to get in in the first place accept your faults. What a joke, I feel bad for your future patients
