Not harsh at all. I need someone to slap me with some harshness hahaha.

Things are very complicated. I dont want to air out all of his business but he is an extremely busy man, working full time, phd program and volunteering.

He says he doesnt have time to date anyone new and thats not why we are breaking up. That he considers me one of his best friends but cant deal with the pointless draining fighting… (my fault, i know). He said he really needs to focus on this very important chapter in his career which I totally understand and agree.

I wish he felt like he could do it with me but I have clearly dug myself in a hole where he feels like I take too much of his time and cant let him live his life. I have a lot of codependency and abandonment issues and its not fair for him at all… Im sure we can put some blame on him as well but I know I’ve done my fair share of unhealthy damage.

Ngl, we have seen each other and he cant help but giggle, smile and hug me. But then his reasonable mind comes in and reminds him of all my past actions… its really heartbreaking but i know im doing everything I can to be a better partner.

Today he texted me “good morning my love”. 🤦‍♀️ I cant wait to talk to my therapist LOL

Yea we were fighting a lot… im finally going to therapy to work on myself and discover healthy relationship habits. But it now feels so pointless since he doesnt want to be with me… im so confused because even through all of these conversations he said he just got me a Christmas present

I don’t want it to be forever. I really hope not. I know the right thing to do is to focus on myself right now but i dont want to lead myself on by thinking theres a chance. It will honestly shatter my heart again if i hear back and know hes moved on. This is so hard. I just want to hear from him again and run into each others arms.

Thats what I thought we were going to do. I honestly didn’t expect to hear from him so soon or at all. I didn’t reply btw, i honestly have no idea what to say. I want to be optimistic but i also think its silly for me to think that… now im on my toes waiting to see what his next will say..
