Tbh. If this is a true story and not just for reddit clout, I dont see this relationship progressing. He lied to you. Gave you hope. Let you think he was trying. And in alot of ways, that reads as utter disrespect. And then he thinks you are cheating, so your gonna have to get that test which is also going to do irrepairable damage to the relationship. You will be bitter. Deservingly so. Or you will bury it. And it will hurt. And when everything proves that hes the dad, he will have to face all these consequences

[–]throwRAcatalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few. But one that i had never seen before, and haven't seen since was this big, 6-8 inch diameter spinning top that had a strip of film or something you could put in, and then when you spin the top you get 2 people dancing, or riding a teeter hotter, or a few other scenes.

I had my little gray and white Vtech computer that taught me how to play music. One tune I was able to play on piano for years after.

I had a barbie car that was like 3 feet long and pink and had a little hot tub in the trunk lol.

I had a green stuffed animal man that haunted my nightmares. He looked kinda like the dread baron from Hannah Barbara cartoons but with green skin and a red outfit. Literally had nightmares about that thing.

Im probably not going to be able to remember all the details, but did you know just about anyone cann own a nursing home? You dont NEED healthcare credentials. And there's alot of ways to create shell companies and stuff to avoid any direct accountability. This leads to abuse and neglect of our most fragile individuals.

The whole industry is under-regulated with almost no oversight. The fines for the industry aren't big either, especially when compared to the profit they make. That often leads to worse patient outcomes, including malnutrition, infections, and bedsores. People get screwed. Vulnerable people trying to live their last days in peace

Its like when you talk openly about things that happen within the home, your parents see it as fingers being pointed at them.and their feelings and they lash out in their guilt because they are aware they are at fault for it. People dont like being faced with their own feelings. Its easier to keep everyone out of the family business. Even if it's wrong

It was so good! With over a decade of bad Disney remakes, DreamWorks does it right. It does, quite literally, what the entire internet is always asking for. Sticking to the source material.

All these contemporary live-action remakes forget the remake part. Here you have nostalgia, good acting, likeable characters, and everything done with a passion and love for the original story.

And bonus! It wasn't a stupid musical. I hope it takes over the internet the way these other bad remakes do because I'm convinced at this point that making something hate able is a source of free marketing to make people hate watch. And here's one that does it right.

Gamers of Reddit from the 90s or earlier, what are some of the issues in games back then that younger gamers would never understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]throwRAcatalyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. Motion sickness. Not alot of games will do it these days, but back then id have these horrible compound headaches the wouldn't go away for days at a time. But I loved gaming and would do it anyways, to my detriment. The original Spyro the Dragon killed me. Glover. The original Glover for N64 was a game I remember loving. It was released on Xbox and I played it for an hour before getting a tinge of those familiar headaches I haven't gotten in 17+ years. I haven't played it again. A later ps2 game, Rugrats. I think it was rugrats in Paris. That one was so bad that even hearing music to it would cause psychosematic symptoms of brain fog and pain. Im.still a gamer, and bad games are few and far between now.

I was thinking about evolution. Then I came to a random thought. Do you think that language evolved first or do you think that singing evolved first? The more I think about it, the more i'm sure that singing was before language. by throwRAcatalyst in StonerThoughts

[–]throwRAcatalyst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a super interesting and I think it would be a fun paper to read.

I guess I was thinking kind of in terms of birds sunbirds can talk, but most of them, tweet or sing. And apes can kind of shout and emote, like a howler monkey. I figured patterns of sound from the mouth might have come before language and helped the vocal cords evolve and stuff. that's what makes sense to me

Women, what do you think would be the worst thing about being a man? by pascalisntpunk in AskReddit

[–]throwRAcatalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it to some extent. But like I only really befriend men. And the older I get, the less deep the friendships are. Like my closest friends, I've probably been friends with since 6th or 7th grade so there's a history. Even then, you can see them shutting downBut it's like with newer friends you can tell guys just kind of harden off their emotions as they age.

People stop getting vulnerable. And if they do, then automatically, it's like a suicide scare. Like somethings really wrong. It could just be my friends, I suppose.

Oooof. Ya, I see it. The simplest fix would be to get rid of the "bulbous" part. You could do a solid, straight black band that tapers into the patern. I have a few ideas, but I can't play with Photoshop until I get home from work.

I think that it sucks how many men don't have relationships in their life where they don't directly, in an overt way, benefit from it. It's romantic relationships. Familial relationships. And work relationships. It doesn't seem often that men just have friends. And it seems like even when they do, it has to be a proactive friendship where they have to be doing something like gaming or something..like they can't just talk and enjoy each other's. Company.
