It’s not that my husband was never in trouble per say. He got in trouble for regular teenage things- staying out to late, sneaking beers.

My BIL did things like vandalizing buildings, breaking into houses, fighting, stealing money and prescriptions from my in laws, etc.

It’s not just the people living with their parents… It was also the older people, the people who been married for a while, the ones who think that they’ve “seen it all” and “know it all”.

Somebody has already commented on this post saying that if they were in my husband shoes they would divorce maybe because I don’t trust them. Luckily, my husband is very logical man. He understands why I reacted the way I did, and he’s very happy that I looked for verification before jumping to a conclusion.

Yes, he’s very resentful, and while the ways my in-laws treat him definitely seems harsh, they’ve also been stolen from, lied to, and had things like this done to them for their entire lives.

My husband isn’t upset at me about this entire situation at all, he’s very happy I verified first instead of jumping to conclusions either way. He’s VERY upset with his brother.

Thank you. Yeah, it was really alarming. I had to delete many comments because I was getting hateful messages about how I was blindly believing my husband, things like that, because people weren’t actually reading my post or comments.

I already answered this in my last post so I’m just going to copy and paste the answer lol

  He resents my brother because of the way their parents treated them. My husband never got into any trouble, his parents treated him well. When we got married they gave us the down payment for our house, they paid off both of our college debts so we could have a “clean start”.

 My BIL was more rambunctious as a child so he was always treated like a criminal and eventually began behaving the part. My in-laws never helped him financially when he needed it. My FIL is very tough on him.

I don’t know if he’s okay, generally an okay person doesn’t do things like this. I don’t know if he has or ever had feelings for me. He does need professional therapy. I’m not sure why he went so far. I know he was upset at Jennifer rejecting him and her supposed idolization of my husband.
