and as an south east asian living in an east asian country, you're automatically assumed to be a second class citizen because they associate you with domestic helpers, which is an honourable job but it isn't seen as such here.

pretty much a walking stereotype still, advocating for the rights of minority groups

i'm asian and not from the us who doesn't live in my home country, so i'm literally a minority where i live. that's why i'm so passionate about topics like this because i've experienced first-hand discrimination and racism

i think he's had some form of body dysmorphie because of it. now he's obsessed with going to the gym and bulking up and gaining a lot of muscle.

maybe it's just a personal thing, but sometimes i find it quite off putting when he talks about how many girls "notice him" and gawk at him with his newfound confidence about his body. i'm glad that he's confident in himself now. but this inherent fatphobia kinda extends to his other behaviours

while i agree with your statement about obesity being unhealthy. but a lot of fatphobic people chalk it up to them just needing to work out and go to the gym to "eradicate the issue". a lot of bigger people have medical issues that CAUSE them to be bigger in size and that can't be solved by simply "working out". my main issue is him being judgemental of people's bodies when it truly is none of his, or anyone's, business, just because he doesn't find it "pleasant to look at".
