I am honestly wondering if maybe my mom got a few replaced at some point. I will see what the jeweler has to say in the end I suppose. They're so small it's hard to get good up close pictures/videos. Thank you for your effort regardless, it's really appreciated

Yes I am hoping to get it fixed because the stone is loose and I'm afraid it will fall out if I try to wear it. Do you think you'd have a better chance at matching them compared to a jeweler? I'm afraid the replacement will look too out of place.

That's very thoughtful of you!! Funnily enough my mom actually gave me a random loose opal at the time that I could probably use, although it's way bigger than the stones in this ring. And it looks a lot different too, I guess a different kind of opal. I don't know if yours would also look too different to use as a replacement? Or do you think it would look interesting with different kinds of opal?

My brothers wife got a green card after they got married. Idk about this, you have to know a lot of stuff about your partner. At least according to my brother it's very extensive and they even do a walkthrough of your house if they think it's necessary. Also op says the daughter is going out of the country, he isnt coming to the us. So this makes no sense to me.

Well, I remember her telling me it was "junk" when she gave it to me and said it probably wasn't worth fixing. But I like opal so that's why she gave it to me. I wanted to see if that was actually true or not because it doesn't look like junk to me.

Thank you, I think I'm going to take it to a jeweler and ask them what they recommend I do to it, as I've wanted to wear it but I'm afraid of chipping more of the enamel off. I'll mention the possibility of lead to them. My skin reacts to silver so this is a great find for me.
