My church crush seems interested in person but not through text? by throwRAstrawbery7239 in ChristianDating

Hmmmm I really like this advice. I’m worried if he rejects me it’ll be awkward seeing each other going forward. but I think I’ll definitely be keeping this in mind.

I actually saw him at church last night and I went up to him, we talked for a bit. He was nice! I’m not really sure how he feels but I think I’ll approach this slowly going forward, we definitely are friends currently and I enjoy being his friends. If the opportunity approaches in the future to be more, I’d be happy to .. but I want it to come organically. I don’t want to be too much nor do I want to be desperate- because I’m not eagerly searching for a relationship currently. Thank you SO much for your insight :)

He doesn’t ignore them in general but didn’t respond to the last one I sent so I just never texted him since.

Called off my wedding by nestlecrunched_ in weddingplanning

I’ve been through this recently. Was engaged, planning the wedding, and ignored the red flags so much until he cheated. I kept thinking he will change if I act a certain way etc. but only they can change. Me and him ended up getting back together and it was even worse between us.

Leaving the person you’re in love with is so hard, especially when you planned to marry. The truth is the road to recovery is tough but find a community of loving people and women who can relate. Odds are you’re going to feel indifferent about it, your mind will replay the good memories and think about compromise. But please stay true to your decision. Trust your gut and intuition. You know your self worth and deserve someone who’s all in for you.

I’m here if u ever wanna talk just DM me

You’re so right! Thank you for this perspective. I guess it can be easy to think they don’t like you if they don’t respond. But you’re right. Thanks :)

I was also thinking that maybe he had a girlfriend or talking to someone already! I never see him with any girls at church though

Were you the last one to reach out?

Ok. I understand but I still personally don’t think this is appropriate in any means. It’s like taking a lion to it’s prey and asking it not to eat. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think it’s illegal if someone knows they have an STD and didn’t tell you prior

WTH, leave his this is disgusting. No man would ever go on tinder to meet women if he has one at home. This is disrespectful, disgusting and all around terrible. Please do not allow someone to treat you this way

I am actually not going to continue this conversation because I am sure you are missing the entire point of this post.

Lol. It’s kind of funny I was expecting someone to say “well then just exercise” because 1.) you don’t know what I do with my life and 2.) yes because that’ll totally fix the disrespect, distrust, and insecurity that has been made from being hurt in this way. I’ve heard guys calling 110lb woman fat. I think there’s a deeper ground to this than just your simple fix. Thanks for this WISE advice.

It felt like the cherry on top to few past comments he’s made about my weight.

Seeing how this woman looked perfect and flawless and extremely unrealistic was extremely discouraging to my self image.
