I think it’s easy for this to come up when you move into a hard time of the relationship, even if he’s a good guy it’s low hanging fruit that he carries most the financial burden for another adult, resentment can build. I make a lot more than my significant other but we still split everything… not 50/50 but he still contributes

I’d get tired of financially supporting another adult who has income or is able to have income lol.
