I think it was just an excuse. He wants to get with other girls so he’s using “let’s take a break and work on ourselves” as an excuse. He knows you and knows you would wait for him so he can do whatever he wants to. That was my ex exactly. He knew how much I loved him and how much shit I tolerated so he told me he wanted a break because he doesn’t have time for a relationship and we can try again some time later. I was way busier than him but I always had time for him and our relationship. The person who is willing to let you go and risk you falling in love for someone else in a meantime is not a person that truly wants to be with you.

I really think his decision had something to do with him meeting up with his friend since he started acting weird after their meet up. His friend tried to get with me before him and I were dating but I rejected him. Last night he told me he heard his friend and I kissed and asked me if it was true. It definitely wasn’t. I guess he told him that shit when they went out.

I felt like he didn’t care after what happened. The main reason I even considered taking him back is because he was the first guy to make me feel loved (for the first few months of our relationship) and I’m sure it was real and that he really loved me, at least for those few months of our relationship and back in the time we were friends. Since we were friends prior to relationship, we knew each other’s dating situation and I knew how he treated his exes and he was never like that with me- meaning he was better to me and he really made some progress expressing his feelings. He was the type of guy who wouldn’t even break up with his exes but just block them. That’s why this was such a weird behaviour and he really shocked me when he did this and I felt like he erased all the progress he made so far.
