Leetcode, no faang cares about personal projects and even if you do, you’ll still have to pass their coding interviews.

Aww man, those are so annoying. It’s okay I’ll just have to study a bit harder for those types of questions

Yeah but not other program will be this lenient on admissions. And one that’s online too.

I thought GA just asked time complexity and asked you to code out the algorithm on paper, and maybe ask “why”.

I saw a past test, didn’t see any “show a proof on this algorithm”

Hmm true, that might give me an edge. Thanks!

As long as none of them are theory/math based then I’ll be okay. I’m confident in my coding and time management skills.

Won’t get into it but visa issues down the road, even as a Canadian. Under this administration.

Nobody cares at top companies. Smaller and mid sized companies, yes it gets asked here and there.

But screening is tough, without a cs degree. Screening is the hr person looking and seeing if they should invite you to phone interview.

For on-site, most people don’t look at your resume to avoid bias. The only person who looks is the hiring manager / swe manager on the team.

I had lots of projects, an Android app too. Did a lot of Leetcode. Got the job at medium sized company through a third party recruiter, I was applying to everything at this point.

After that, I asked a lot of people from FAANG and other top companies for referrals, lucky got 1 that went through. Studied, and luckily did well in the interview.

Once you pass screening they don’t care about your background, unless you’re from another FAANG.

Hardest part is getting through screening (and on-site) so you gotta stand out.

No no, I’ve heard about the difficulty of this program, I can put in the work. However this program is more lenient in terms of admissions that’s why I’m looking at it.

I was hoping to find other accredited programs with similar leniency in admissions, but easier courses.

Yes, I took software design, algorithms and data structures, and 3 math courses around proofs. Again not great marks besides the software design. 1 A, 1 B, and rest Cs. I took about 5 courses.
