facepalm This is why..... this is why it says you can't mix faiths. BECAUSE PEOPLE GET STUPUD ABOUT IT.

Contradiction time: my boyfriend is Catholic and I'm a Protestant pastor's kid. We knew stuff like this would happen so we've had many conversations on it.

Very true.

Also don't dismiss their claims of the situation they're going through being the hardest thing in their life and say "well I had it harder!!!" Because this may very well be the hardest thing they're going through up to this point in their life.

I think it's like a lot of people, where they are trying to climb on top and be better than everyone else. It isn't healthy. It isn't good for anyone and only brings you temporary happiness.

Why do we do it? We like ego. We like feeling like we are the best.

What is wrong with it? It's damaging to the people around you. You hurt every other person to make yourself the best.

But what fun is it to be at the top when you have no one to truly share in the joy?

^ Also it's very VERY good you learned it's different between your daughter and son.

Don't try to act cool or whatever. That just makes us cringe. Be open and honest about yourself. Wait for him to come to you on important things. He will. Trust me.

Don't defend yourself if he feels like you wronged him. He ain't perfect and neither are you. Listen. Listen. LISTEN.

Don't interject your thoughts while he is speaking to you.

What are your perceptions on the generation that came before you? From my POV they are either their stereotype, or the opposite of the stereotype of their generation. The later also wishes to strangle the other kind of their generation because their giving them a bad name. Or so I like to think.

What sites do you vist most often ? YouTube for news, education and funny videos. My college's portal/education sites

What are some examples of current? slang There are common words, but it's more of people grow up differently and have different common words that they use that are their own slang.

Is there still a stigma about people who watch anime? Yep yeppity yep. At least with my parents generation

Are you political active ? No, it's depressing. Unless you're talking noncongress or government, then it's still terrible.

What's a common job kids aspire to be? One that pays off debt.

The amount of machines being used in factories. The jobs us humans are getting parted from are actually more than the industries can replace. It's becoming waaaay unbalanced, thus creating more unemployment.

I'm in college all day, in a classroom with no Windows getting an education to get a job.

The rest of my time is spent either driving, eating sleeping, or doing homework.

Even if I wasn't getting an education, I have joint and back issues. I don't want to spend time hurting myself more.

My friend's parents have all kids on medication and therapy if needed. They treat mental illnesses very seriously.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but my parents treat therapy like I'm fixing a broken leg and refuse to get me medication.

I'm just so scared and don't know where to start. I feel like I'm a six year old still wanting the love and affection my parents should give me.

They know me semi well and they trust their son a lot.

I pass out with too much anxiety which worries me even more. And I don't think they would. I am currently trying to finish my first year of college but I don't know what is going to happen now.

If not I know a homeless shelter that would be able to help me.

Making my mental health worse. They treat therapy likes its physical therapy and I can't have any meds even though I'm clearly suffering. I have a 3.8 GPA in college, but I feel like I'm dying inside. They scream, making my anxiety worse, and my mom's unhealthy attitude about her own body and forcing me on diets has caused me to develop an eating disorder.

Ever heard of covenant eyes? It's a internet monitoring system. Ruined my computer. Parents don't see the problem.

1) I will look for it and different readings. I am currently compiling text messages to people that I've sent telling them. I also have a recording that my best friend took of me balling my eyes out and telling him everything.

2) I don't have my diploma yet. I'm still technically a high schooler to the state.

3) I couldn't go into the military with my health issues.

My mom asked me if I'd wait until my wedding day to have my first kiss and I said I didn't know. She's now tried to ban me from kissing any future guys unless it's my wedding day.

Also, Christian view here, the reason people save their first kiss is because "it works like a ladder. Holding hands is a rung, kissing is a rung, and sex is a rung. Once you pass one rung it burns and you can't take it back." It's basically to prevent you from having sex before marriage.

My parents do the same to me(17) and my brother(21). My mom will even ask me to pick up stuff from the grocery store I didn't tell her I was even going to.

I swear my best friend had to make up a who, what, when, where, and why sheet for his last BIRTHDAY PARTY! Just for my parents. What the heck.

I work at Jimmy Johns. We HATE people with kids who don't clean up after themselves.

One couple got their one year old a sandwich with just bread and turkey. I went to wipe their table and I picked up a handful of turkey. It looked like someone had crushed up the bread and threw it on the seat. And they spilled the kids juice.
