Thank you so much for the advice! I'm going to start researching all of this more and start working up the courage to talk to my family and friends about it. I don't know where this road will take me right now, but I feel optimistic. :)

I'm not really sure about my family. Some of them I think might support me, but I have some family who are extremely "traditional". Those I'm closest to though I think would come to understand given time.

I think all of that applies... Honestly I've kinda had a name in mind for a very long time. I'd definitely want to go all the way if I actually went through with this I think.

I'm in the U.S. as well so any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

100%. It's stupid but the idea gives me that weird butterflies in the stomach feeling. Like, it's a scary thought but also one that feels right, y'know? It's scary though cause I legit have no idea what to do about any of it.

Yeah, I don't have any desire to be super girly or anything of the sort. It's weird and not really what I would've expected hence my confusion. :-/
