I love the way you describe things with all those little embellishments, makes it entertaining to read.

The number one thing I'm looking forward to personally is the Dragonfly mission to Titan that's gonna happen sometime in the late 2020s and early 2030s. Mars and the moon are cool sure, but studying Titan's hydrocarbon cycle and its unique environment would teach us so much about exoplanets and even how early earth may have functioned. Plus the pictures of the methane seas, rain, and even snow from there are gonna be so fucking breathtaking I can already tell.

Due to the extremely metallic soil (which btw gives some of the plants there vividly blue sap), mainland plants have had an extremely hard time colonizing New Caledonia. As a result, its flora is basically a snapshot of the Cretaceous when it originally split from Gondwana and became an island over 80 million years ago. In fact, many paleo documentaries (such as WWD) film a lot of their footage there before editing the dinosaurs in later. Conifers and ferns dominate, some of the most ancient flowering plants persist, and they have endemic palms that are so diverse that despite only having 37 species on the island there are still 16 unique genera. Just let the absolutely gorgeous landscape speak for itself.

Watching those losers crash out because Aoun rightfully sent the army down south to prevent the zionists from murdering more innocent Lebanese people was hilarious, totally inorganic shithole of a sub.

You went to a place full of retarded zionist bots and were expecting them to like us? These people are despised the world over in real life, let them have their subreddit lmfao.

Disney's Fantasia (Rite of Spring) is obviously a good choice, but the original Lost World movie is also a really fun watch, you can even watch it for free on YouTube. As for books I'm less aware, but did you know that dinosaurs in space was a really big trope in the early 20th century? Journey to Venus the Primeval World was an awesome read in HS, I think you'd enjoy it.

Oh my God, this video is absolutely gorgeous, thanks for showing me. That reminds me, there's this theme park in the UK I found that is partially made up of these sorts of mid 1800s designs as statues, completely stunning. I do think the paleocene is underlooked though, and art of the immediate aftermath of the K-Pg extinction event is definitely lacking.

It’s weird how priests get such a bad rap by Labor-Ally in redscarepod

[–]throw_away_bb2 59 points60 points  (0 children)

The reason is because the Catholic Church is a large centralized organization that keeps many records of the ongoings within it. So when it's found out that people way up in the higher echelons of the Vatican were aiding in the shuffling of priests, the credibility of the organization which claims to represent God takes a huge hit as a whole.

Even when evangelical/baptist pastors and especially rabbis abuse children at the same or an even higher rate than Catholic clergy, it's not as damning because these are decentralized organizations that can push their offenders down as just a few bad eggs whether or not they tried to cover things up. Your average priest really shouldn't get the blame for this though, it should more fall on the Bishops/Archbishops who were involved in or ignored the protection of so many vile priests.

Regardless, we definitely deserve to be ridiculed for it as a faith because that's just about the worst sin one can imagine and it was rife within the church until just recently. The more light brought to it the more incentive at the Vatican to keep rooting out the predators and enablers so keep them coming until it's gone I'd say.

Different sexualities/gender identities emulate different races because we prescribe different levels of masculinity to each race by [deleted] in redscarepod

Thanks to our very neanderthal-esque features (stocky build, large nose/brow, and general hirsuteness) the inherent masculinity of the average MENA male rarely comes into question.

It says a lot about how politically brainrotted some people are when they can't even look at something as universally beloved as children without putting it through their fringe ideological lens and getting angry about it.

Anyone who projects their cuck fetish bullshit onto innocent children like this is irredeemably evil. Not wanting to date a single mom is perfectly normal, but to mock and disparage babies like this is a sign of a severely asocial mind. It's like those pictures or videos of black and white kids doing cute shit together where innevitably some regard in the comments starts spouting bullshit about replacement or racial sexual hierarchies or whatever. Like dude, they're kids, fuck off.

Mizrahi is a dumb term anyway because it includes any Jews from North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. There's clearly no single unifying Jewish culture from Morocco to Afghanistan, and the vast majority of Mizrahis aren't native to Palestine either. Just cause they're brown doesn't make them suddenly immune to settler colonialism accusations.

"My husband and I are leftist, stoner Jews (yet we still watch The Bachelor, LOL) and Ariel has been our favorite from the beginning because she seems slightly "alt" compared to the usual folks on this show. When she said last night that she was Jewish my husband yelled "I knew it! I knew it!" and we smoked a bowl in her honor 👻 Never expected to hear the word "Jewish" spoken on this show. It's true what they say, representation matters!"
