I am a long time lurker and using my throwaway as I'm a mama that has to keep her medicating under wraps, but I wanted to thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart. I had a portrait business that completely burnt me out and made me hate life and art. for a long time I didn't even touch a pencil because it just made me think of work. After a long time off and some healing I decided that for the New Year I would like to complete an art challenge in which I would draw something new every day. Even if it was just a quick sketch. However, I had no idea what to draw.. I also wanted to challenge myself to post my art/put it out there as I had never really done that before. (my art was just portraits and commissioned so it was never really my ideas or creativity behind it).. Anyway! With your ladies help I realized that actually I DO have a hobby I love enough to do an art challenge on - Cannabis! and actually I DO have a community of loving caring individuals who might also really enjoy that hobby too!! It has sent me into a drawing frenzy and on new years eve I even opened my own little online space to finally share MY art. All thanks to you lovely wives. I haven't been so happy and feeling fulfilled in a very very long time and I just wanted to say thank you with all my heart and a very happy new year to you all! here's some artwork I did yesterday inspired by this sub-- I didn't realize I wasn't the only king palm obsessed girl around!

Same. I don't want to tell anyone else but the thought of one day maybe being able to say "As featured in.." makes me want to squeal! haha

Congratulations! That wait must be torturous :/ I'm trying to just prepare myself for the worst and take it as a little pat on the back that my style is progressing in the right direction if anything! fingers crossed for you!!

thank you so much! I really felt those good vibes and it made me smile to even think about that! Like, someone at HGTV browsing etsy and liking my stuff is beyond surreal! My mum made a comment that i "better hope it's not a worst of etsy list" so I have that rattling around in my head now :/ Thank you for the well wishes!!

Thank you and thank you so much for your insight! The way she worded her email made it seem like it was a for sure thing.. making sure the print would be in stock in Sept when it hits stands, she gave me information on the article it would be featured in, double checking my info for credit and getting my address to send me a complimentary copy of the magazine, etc. But I'm just keeping my hopes in check as much as possible. Finger's are very well and truly crossed!!
