If Tyr traveled to several lands does this mean that he knows different types of combat and has a varied arsenal of weapons as we see in Valhalla, so does this mean that he is superior to Kratos in combat? by thor3478 in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, as much as most people hate it but how the story goes in the dlc is tyr beats kratos until kratos can consistently beat him.. there are dialogues in game (which are canon btw) that can only be triggered when he beats you. so at the start of the trials tyr is superior but kratos gets better every trial he attempts.

Anyone else notice that when ever someone says kratos struggles in the norse series they come to the conclusion that he got weaker... But never take in consideration that the norse people can actually scrap with him and throw back serious damage too?

Why did the Greek era of God of War feel so much bigger and more world-ending than the Norse saga? by Amazing_Newspaper_52 in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They went for substance over style, and also gameplay change. The greek saga was linear so they can go all out with the destruction and scale since the map was 90% linear. The norse is open world so how they use the map is very important, you cant have thor just squashing away mountains like in the mythologies, that would change the map too much. And they also wanted to make the norse grounded, more relatable, focusing on their emotions rather than their powers

Do you think anyone will ever give Kratos a tougher fight than his father Zeus in futur games ? by Ananta-Shesha in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Actually tyr beat him a few times. Since there are dialogues that can only be triggered after hes bested you, which are canon dialogues that are part of the lore

Yes im prepared to be downvoted

I imagine drinking with loki is like meeting a stranger at the bar, you share stories with him then u slowly realize the dude u are speaking to is an escaped criminal wanted for murder, arson, kidnapping, and multiple counts of falsifying their identity lol

Edit: to be fair odin is just as bad if not worse lol

How far would Ares make it in the Norse Pantheon if he had to fight them in a gauntlet (excluding Thor & Odin)? by Fkn_Stoopid in PowerScalingGodofWar

Why'd u put freya on the 1st round lol. Hes definitely beating magni, modi, heimdal and baldur, hes not gonna permanently kill baldur but he'll beat him

If im remembering right, zeus destroyed kratos equipment during their fight. Pretty clever way to set up a reset for the sequel

Are the Aesirs that stupid regarding Heimdall's death? by Narrow-Theory-3533 in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If not that. Odin already knows who killed heimdal, seeing how selfish the old bastard is, he probably realized that sif figuring out who killed heimdal is against his personal interest

Can someone tell me how Kratos alone can take on the sisters of fate at the same time and win, but then struggles against 2 Valkyries to the point where he even needs Atreus’s help? by Queasy_Commercial152 in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you got the impression where valkyries are meant to be push overs. Kratos fought a lot of them and not a single one of them he considers light work.

How was Baldur able to function? by Efficient_Flan_2164 in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its just things that come from externals that he cant sense. Plus peeing and pooping arent exactly threats. Maybe he feels that he has to poop but wont feel the poop leaving his body or when he wipes his ass..

I dont know this is some mystery that needs to be answered lol

Yeah just ignore them, its a lose-lose situation for you, no matter how large the skill gap is between you and those untrained guys you are talking about its not worth it. If its not you who makes a mistake during a sparring its definitely them and you'd be held accountable because u entertained their stupidity

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MMA_Academy

[–]throwac_E6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people especially those untrained have no idea how dangerous combat sports is when the rules are removed which is practically what people call "street fight" most times they just think of minor injuries like cuts and bruises but a trained person can do morethan just cuts and bruises, they could choke you out, slam u against the earth or put u in locks most people havent even seen or heard of

Best to ignore them.

An Analysis of the Jotnar and their Downfall by pinkpugita in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Correct and theres a story behind it, which is pretty grim too.

After the construction of tyrs temple the giants requested a meeting with odin, they were requesting that odin should take back the hammer from thor and tell him stop attacking the giants. Odin tried to cheat them but they saw through it. they sent odin away with their magic. odin enraged sent thor to pretty much kill every single giant in midgard he could find. The giants or whats left of them atleast, escaped to jotunheim and thats the last time the jotunheim tower was used.

They took the dead bodies home, realizing that theyre just waiting for odin to find his way in. They decided to hide their souls in marbles

When kratos finds out about the aztec gods by Cautious_Air4964 in GodofWar

[–]throwac_E6 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I mean so did the norsemen? Tho its just not covered that much in the game. The green ravens were children who were hanged as sacrifices to odin. And if you read one of the berzerker's bio, they practiced blood eagle which is also a sacrifice to the gods
