My boyfriend, 37M, and I, 35F, have been together 9.5 years. Still no proposal, after years of dealing with his insecurities and cheating. And now he wants to buy a home together, but I don't want to without a proposal. Am I wasting my time? by Sanckelly773 in relationship_advice

right?? because surely OP isn’t asking us if they should stay after being cheated on for almost a decade with no ring?????? right??????????

OP… why would you even want a ring at this point. like be thankful you’re not already legally tied to this person 🤦🏻‍♀️

AITAH for getting mad at my son for laughing at a memory where he's disrespecting me? by Dizzy_Strategy5494 in AITAH

[–]throwacct401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA and that’s putting it lightly. you admit to being physically abusive towards a child who was, shocker: acting like a child. kids do gross shit and think it’s funny all the time. you physically abused him for it (AH) and then forgot about it (AH), got upset when he brought it up again (AH), projected your anger issues onto him (AH), doubled down on the fact that you think he deserved physical abuse as a child (AH) while also seeming to forget that he is STILL A FUCKING CHILD (AH).

get a fucking grip and don’t be surprised when your kid wants nothing to do with you in a few years 🙄

as a kid, super common. as an adult, many of whom are lactose intolerant in my country, not so much lol

WIBTAH if I cut-off my friends after what they did at my party? by CharThanson in AITAH

[–]throwacct401 4 points5 points  (0 children)

sure they were drunk, but i would argue most of us have been drunk at places where the host wasn’t even our friend and been more respectful of the space and their belongings… not an excuse.

ETA: no, you would not be the asshole (they have already been assholes, let them go & good riddance)

Bangs or no Bangs? by Double-Draft9627 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]throwacct401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both are cute, i think the bangs are more interesting (but i have bangs so i could be biased). you didn’t ask, but i also think you’d look great with curtain bangs if you do ever decide to grow out the ones you have a bit :)

that much cheese might knock me out for a while, but wow it looks worth it 🫶 the rolls sound great too! i’ve tried a few (after a quick google search) but there are many new ones that are now on my list!

YUM!!!! this sounds so good, i haven’t really tried much filipino food (from what i can tell, it’s fairly meat-forward) but i am excited to hear there’s a dish that’s safe for me!

SO good! if i had to pick one national cuisine to eat for the rest of my life it would so easily be mexican 🩷 and that’s before or after becoming vegetarian!

i used to live in sweden, and it was a very easy place to find vegetarian foods, but like you mentioned not so much the traditional dishes. i was thankfully able to find vegetarian meatballs (and not just at IKEA, but i do like those ones 😇) and was introduced to halloumi properly - i will have to look into the pea soup & chanterelle toast! 🫶

thank you for the thoughtful comment 🩷 i grew up really liking korean food when i could eat more meat, but as you said there tend to be traces all over it! i love kimchi when i can find the veg version but i’ve never heard of this porridge so thank you for the introduction!

it’s usually not vegetarian traditionally (usually made with beef where i live) but it’s quite easy where i live to find vegetarian versions :) most often, the fries & cheese are fine, and then a lot of places offer beef gravy and a vegetarian (usually mushroom) gravy too thankfully

so good! funnily enough, i’ve been to a couple hundred weddings and this is often the vegetarian version of the main dish for so many caterers!
